Getting Around: You need a car - no way around it. It’s located on Route 232, a logging road and a significant cut-through for the area. We have a driveway that can fit 6 large cars parking and a great local plow team who will get you out in a storm. There is some road traffic noise inside the house. However, once inside the Dome and on our land behind it, you feel a million miles away. Being on a big road means we’re plowed out early, easy to find, and no mountain roads or 4x4 or special studded tires necessary. And added bonus of getting to see the real Maine industry in action - kids love sitting in the picture window and watching the logging trucks. Stop to go grocery shopping and bring water before you arrive at the Dome. Bethel has a small grocery store and the next big one is in Oxford, Maine. We have two full fridges and a mini fridge should you wish to bring many beverages.

We had a great stay at the Enchanted Dome! Everything was perfect for our family. The area was beautiful. Dave and Kim were very responsive and seemed to truly care about our experience. We enjoyed it immensely, Thank you!
We loved the dome! It was so unique and at the same time, a lot of fun! There was plenty of cookware, the bedding was super nice, the wood stove was so warm and created such a nice atmosphere, and the decor and design of the dome made for such a wonderful and comfortable stay!
We traveled with two teenagers, a 12 year old, parents and a set of grandparents- and each of us loved the dome! The pin ball machine was a huge hit for all of us! We also loved playing ping pong and the indoor soccer game. The hot tub was also loved by each of us, any time of the day but especially at night under the beautiful night sky!
We happened to be in Sunday River on vacation during a hundred year flood that hit through out the North East region. At first we were stressed about missing our week of skiing since Sunday River had to close because of flooding. We were also bummed that almost all of the restaurants and local attractions were closed because of flood damage! Thankfully the dome sits on a little knoll above the surrounding rivers so we only lost electricity for one day and were otherwise completely safe. While we had to change our plans, the vacation ended up being one of our best family vacations- all because of the dome! The wood stv kept us completely cozy! The different parts of the house allowed for us to have lots of space but also feel so cozy when together! And again, the games and hot tub provided endless entertainment and relaxation. We all absolutely loved the dome!
