"It was all that we hoped for. Amazing modern cabin with perfect furniture and accessories. We spent a lot of time on the deck down at the beach that had nice furniture on it. Water is crystal clear. Had a nice fire in the pit down by the beach. The beach is amazing soft clean sand.There is nothing we needed it was all there. Thank you for an amazing weekend."

Spectacular Lakefront Retreat on 2 acres~ Perfect Large Family Getaway

"Shady Nook was the perfect home and location for our bi-annual family reunion. Our group of 26 included ages 10 months to 83. We were all very comfortable and even had empty beds! Shady Nook feels more like borrowing a friends house than a rental. The kitchen was very well stocked and even included many of the spices that we needed. The back porch is amazing and became our favorite hang out spot.We used the loft over the garage for two families with small children for the quiet. The loft does have a kitchenette, toilet and sink and there is a full bathroom in the garage convenient for showering. There are three bedrooms on the main floor which was great for our less mobile family members.We had not visited Pickerel Lake before and were shocked by how clear and clean it was. We rented a pontoon and took many trips around the lake. There was also a fishing group that had very good luck every time they went. Having access to tons of inflatables and yard games kept us all busy. We spent hours floating on the maui mat. Perfect place for large groups!"

"This is a very spacious home with 3 large living areas and 5 nice sized bedrooms, all with queen sized beds. All bedrooms were well equipped with everything you need to be comfortable; extra pillows and blankets, nightstands, dressers, chairs. All 3 bathrooms were very clean with plenty of towels and hot water. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The backyard is very secluded and beautiful, with plenty of seating for our group on the large deck. The house was located in the perfect place for our stay, close to town for what we needed but yet out of town on a very private lot with no neighbors that you can see. We were very thankful for the large garage to be able to park our vehicles. The TV and Alexa were easy to run. Checking in was seamless, the host had great communication, and checking out was simple. We appreciated not having a long list of "must do before you go", just a few simple items like take out the trash. We will definitely rent this home if we are ever in the area again with our large group. Thank you, Matt, for renting us your home."

"We had a great stay at Ottertail lake. The house was exactly as pictured. Very well stocked, spacious, and clean. Lots of great lakes in the area, but we loved fishing off the dock, where we caught northern, bass and sunfish. The lot was level and perfect for yard games and bonfires in the evening. We had a group of 8, and it was so nice to all be able to sit at the large table in the dining area, and the four season porch. The hosts were very responsive, and offered recommendations for fishing lakes and things to do in the area. We would highly recommend this listing to anyone in the ottertail area with a large family looking for a cozy, relaxing week!"
