Several comments : The housekeeping staff was excellent. Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming but need more training as to when you need reservations or don't for sites that visitors frequent. It would help if they were better informed and didn't give conflicting information. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, the selections were plentiful and high quality. My room was really, really small and given that I was staying for 5 nights it was difficult to maneuver around. It seems like at one time it was part of a suite that was separated off. There was a courtyard area that was quite lovely for relaxing outdoors and reading.

Beautiful building and great location. HVAC did not work well and room always too hot. Staff needs improvement in knowledge and performance of things like making a reservation for a guest.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Continental in Bucharest for a business trip and was thoroughly impressed. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and stress-free. Their efficiency and genuine friendliness made me feel like a valued guest throughout. The accommodations were superb, blending modern amenities with classic elegance. The well-appointed room and exceptionally comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep after busy days of business meetings. The hotel's central location in Bucharest was a significant plus, allowing easy navigation to key business districts and cultural attractions. This made my business trip both productive and enjoyable. Dining at the hotel was a delight, with a variety of options and delicious cuisine. The facility apparently dates from 1828 and is beautifully maintained. Outstanding customer service. Desk staff, particularly Mihail and Wahleed: superlative. While the property is highly rated, the service is virtually non-existent. When asked to order a cab, we were told to go outside and use uber. No one knew where the restaurants are or where the breakfast is, until we started interrogating the front desk staff

The rooms in this hotel are really beautiful. However, the bathroom is very modern and very poorly designed. It definitely doesn’t go with the rest of the hotel, which was lovely. The location is very convenient to old town, and the breakfast buffet was great.

This hotel is over the top amazing. Beautiful!!! Such a nice touch to arrive so late and think you have to leave the hotel to find something to eat and instead there is a huge fruit basket and a bottle of wine waiting. The bed and bedding were excellent and comfortable. Two staff members went overboard to help me out when my ride didn't show up. I am disabled (not in a wheelchair) but still could walk to most everything I wanted to see in the city from the hotel. The hotel and the city felt very safe for a solo female traveler.

Spacious and comfortable bedroom. Bathroom sink very modern - flat, not a bowl, and this was difficult to get used to. The breakfast selection was very good. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The location was convenient for the Old Town and its restaurants.

Our luggage has been missing in the airport and we were frustrated. Mike, at the hotel concierge, was so helpful that he tried his best to contact the airline, tracking down the luggage for us. He was a precious asset for the hotel. We enjoyed the stay in the hotel which was tidy and clean. The rooms were spacious. The food provided in the breakfast was fresh and tasty. Yummy. The waiters were very attentive. The hotel was highly recommended.

I can not believe the quality and beauty of this hotel. The staff was great (especially Julius and Alexandria) in the breakfast area, they were AWESOME. We felt like we were friends by the time of departure. Everything was clean. No bad odor anywhere. It actually reminded me of the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas. So close to old town and the University center. When we decided to Uber the attractions were so close the Uber charge was 2-3 dollars. I can not say enough good things about this hotel. We were there during the shoulder season, there were a couple of days we could have used air conditioning but it was not turned on for summer yet. We opened the windows and were very comfortable at night.

Historic building in great location
Great location. Historic building and marvellous classical decoration. Very satisfied with the room which was comfortable. Good breakfast. The hotel does not have its own parking lot. There is paid municipal parking next to it.
