"This was a very low key and relaxing place to stay. There weren't a lot of rules for clean-up that made it feel like you were doing something wrong. Very simple - keep your bed unmade and put your towels on the floor and close the windows. The owner was responsive and kind. Nice cottage feel to the place. We would stay time and time again."

"As we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary we fell in love with this place! So quiet and peaceful! Beautiful cabin and they couldn’t have picked a better spot for it! Open meadows in the front view and wooded area off the back porch, just sooo peaceful! (The best of both worlds :). ) If you want to unwind and getaway from everything, this is the place to go, we would recommend to everyone and Great communication with owners!"

Having coffee on the deck each morning with the incredible view and sound of the creek was heaven. We were so happy that we were able to bring our dogs. They enjoyed their time as much as we did. Cheryl is an excellent host, attentive and very understanding. We are planning an Autumn visit to enjoy the leaves. Highly recommend this property."

"It's a nice place, kitchen has everything you need, plenty of room for 4 adults + some kids. Good luck finding a better spot with a WV back country woods off a beautiful deck. Minor cons: WIFI is incredibly slow an will go out completely with clouds. Going up stairs can be challenging if you are over 5 foot. Check-in process needs an updated lock box."

"We were in town for work. This home was a great place to come back to each night & relax. Quiet, clean & comfortable. We loved the open spaces & all of the windows! Not a huge problem... but the internet is satellite... and unfortunately, it rarely worked. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend!!!"

"Really nice property and cabin; however, we were only there an hour and a half before a transformer blew and the power was cut off due to a windstorm. So we were unable to spend the night. The owner was amazing and understanding and submitted a full refund. I would love to book again another time and have the opportunity to enjoy it."

"Property was very clean. A couple of comments, not problems. 1) It would help to have the wifi logon and password posted or given to the renter. 2) A channel listing for the TV would help. Also, shielded cables for the cable, tv, and router would help. There was interference with the tv signal when we talked on our cell phones, the bathroom heater kicked on,and when we made coffee."

"We had a great stay here at the Muskie-Lounge River Retreat!! We were here for my son’s wedding. The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. The Tenney’s were flexible on check-in times and allowed us to get in a bit early to be able to shower/change from traveling before our rehearsal dinner. Evenings spent on the deck around the fire was very relaxing!! Would for sure bring the family back again!"
