"- fitness center. Had tvs at cardio station. Mats, dumbells, & multistation equipment etc. Enough for 3-4 people
- Breakfast was OK. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and oatmeal. glad it was warm buffet style. staff was good at refilling before empty
- beautiful pool/ jacuzzi with Buddhist statues all over. --- vibes !! 9 am -10 pm... the pool temp was perfect & water smooth. 1.5 ft- 8 ft? Depth range. As a mom, I appreciated the sectioned off shallow area
- Guided meditation and music link on nightstand-- vibes ✨️
- Parking lot/ navigation confused me upon check in . Appreciated there was a sign late night acknowledging that the side entry was intentionally closed, & provided the simplest detour to get to the entry gate again.
4 WONDERFUL staff
1. Raul shift< 4 pm - the call before / during arrival he tried to accommodate an earlier check in without unnecessary charges 4 me
2. > 5 pm staff Called 7 min after check in to check on room. He made time
to assist me with the mess i unnecessarily made myself. while balancing others' needs. Conversation starter despite mild attitude from me
3. Sushi bar staff member, Bella willing to trust my word to help me with a difficult accommodation/request that literally set the tone for the night/purpose of my stay.
4. Overnight lady (blonde hair) was definitely accessible @Front Desk like previously said. Escorted me to gym @ 1 am to help how lost I looked with her verbal directions.
Of course I love the wall"
"The front desk staff was incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel itself was very clean, and our room was perfect comfortable, spotless, and well maintained. The cleaning staff was also amazing and did a great job making sure everything stayed fresh and tidy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay again!"
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown Capitol
6/10 Okay
"The room was clean and room service came every day that we needed it. The wall paper in the bathroom could use some repairing as well as the mold in the shower could be cleaned better. Only one usb B and C plug in the room which should be both sides of the bed. I’ve stayed a numerous Hiltons and don’t see why that was missing. Also simple amenities like some paper towel or sufficient supplies in the kitchen were not present, not a complimentary dish soap or sponge. The bathrooms in Hiltons were have stayed at before have had other complimentary stuff as well but overall it was a 3 stars for the overall room with amenities."
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Austin Capitol / Downtown
4/10 Poor
"No self parking, which is ridiculous since this is a 2 star hotel. Toilet broke, no blow dryer in the room. Hallway smelled like urine. On the fip side, very comfortable bed, room was clean and great shower."
Courtyard by Marriott Austin Downtown/Convention Center
8/10 Good
"Great location within walking distance to the 6th street bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Cons. Parking was horrible. The hotel only offers valet parking at $65 a night. There’s relatively no street parking. I recommend walking a block over and using the self parking garage for half price. Second, room cleaning is only available every other day and I wasn’t informed prior. Since I was there for two days, I only had the room cleaned once, but they were attentive and brought clean towels up. My overall experience was pleasant aside from the mentioned blemishes"
"Everything was great. Had a great memorial weekend and the pool was awesome. The staff and waiters were very kind. The cleaning lady to our room was very polite and friendly. Will be staying there again."
