I can't speak for any other room, but mine was not 4 star, I'd say barely 3 star. Everything in the room was very generic, I wouldn't be so critical, but the photos I saw did not reflect the room I stayed in.

Hard to fault a lovely stay in the apartment. We thought it was excellent and really appreciated little things like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets - it's always a pain to have to buy these things for just a few days. I loved the door entry system, very easy and worked reliably (had to take my phone out of its case to make it work for some reason but that's fine!). I'll be visiting Budapest again and would definitely choose Vagabond.

The apartment was great, had all appliances and comforts we could need. It was in a great location as well. HOWEVER, the method of getting into the apartment is flawed. They sent us the wrong code to access the apartment, and we were unable to access. We waited on the phone for over 35 minutes to get through to someone who sent us a new code. The code we originally had was for a different apartment that had people in! How insecure! 2 of us stayed in the apartment, and we requested 2 more towels as we had only been supplied 2 towels (1 each). The staff informed us no we had to pay €5 per towel if we wanted more. This was ridiculous as we had no towel for hand washing or to get out the shower with. The apartment was good - would not recommend for late night arrivals though as the codes don’t work and you are left standing in the snow in winter Budapest.

The check-in process was frustrating. I was asked to fill out a form before my stay and then advise of my arrival time. I did and was assured I'd be able to check in. Prior to arrival, I was asked to do this again, and I was frustrated because it seems they were not well organized. I was then told I'd get check in details by 6PM.. I didn't until much later despite them knowing I'd have to self-check in, they did not have this organized in advance of that evening (despite check in starting at 3PM). Outside of that, the loaction, facilities, space and everything else was great.

We arrived after the reception was closed but the staff were very responsive with any queries we had. They did the check in process through email and on the day of arrival, they emailed us the check in details. Code to get in, where to find our keys and the code for this too. Everything was explained very well so check in was a breeze. Property was very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. At check out staff were very kind and allowed us to leave luggage in their lockers until we could come back later to collect

Our stay at Vagabond Broadway was very disappointing - be weary of this place. While the location was good and the room was spacious, I would avoid this hotel if you have basic standards for hygiene. We did not experience a welcoming start, the staff members acted like they were not happy to help us at any point. When we walked in we immediately noticed that the room and building were filthy. Once we checked in we entered our suite to find the cleaner slowly finishing up cleaning, not doing a thorough job at all. The floors were visibly dirty, cobwebs are a regular appearance throughout the suite. The kitchen utensils are old and dirty. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes for the cleaner to finish (this past our check in time). Cleaning is done once a week in this already dirty place. Our skin started getting itchy after our first sleep. We asked for clean towels multiple times while they kept us waiting for hours. The shower leaks whenever you use it, leaving a puddle on the bathroom floor. Adding again that they don’t provide towels when you ask for fresh ones. It was an awful experience overall.

As we were travelling for our honeymoon, we reviewed from the perspective and expectation of honeymooners. The hotel has been informed as well so they were kind to leave us a bottle of wine in the room. Unfortunately, we don't drink. We had requested and were hopeful for a room upgrade in celebration of our marriage but it was rejected, which we understand. What we didn't understand that we were given a room at the ground floor (Level 1), right above the reception! What made the matter worse, there were drilling outside the hotel and because we were arranged at the ground level, the impact was greater. A small effort from the hotel would have gone a long way for a more pleasant stay. If you are to stay with Vagabond as a honeymooner, I would not recommend as you would be expecting a more special or enchanting experience for your honeymoon, which they are not catered for. There is no shower toiletries provided, except for a bottle that is used for shower/shampoo/conditioner/handwash, all in one. In addition, there was no housekeeping for the 6D5N we stayed with them. The only plus is the convenience of a washing machine in the room because we would spend 17 days in Eastern Europe. Location-wise, as first-time travellers to Budapest, would suggest you stay at hotels around the Chain Bridge. You would have the convenience, the sceneries and the best of both worlds of Buda and Pest. My choice to stay with Vagabond Broadway for my honeymoon is considered regrettable.

It is true that as a self serviced apartment hotel we are different from a real hotel with standard amenities and different kind of arrangements for newly weds. We are sorry to hear that this difference came as a uncomfortable and unexpected surprise to you. The apartment you received is a nice studio with big balcony, facing the inner courtyard and if not for the construction going on you would have had a quiet, romantic and comfortable stay. Unfortunately we did not know that there would be loud works during your stay and being fully booked a change of rooms was not available at that moment. This construction does not belong to us and even though they are almost finished it still causes us a lot of problems when they have unannounced drilling, we are terribly sorry that you were the victim of this too at such a special moment of your life! The location of the apartment is great, very convenient. The rooms are clean, equipped with kitchen essentials. The washing machine is a big plus since we have traveled for a few days with a lot of clothing need to be washed. The front desk ladies are very friendly. Only issue is their working hours is 10-5. The day of our check out, we had to wait until 10am to do so. One other issue is the curtain in the living room does not block light, my son who stayed in the sofa bed in living room could not sleep well. Other than that, we like this place a lot and highly recommend.

The property is quite modern and well maintained. Very clean, bright and airy. The apartment is fitted with well functioning kitchen. Air conditioning unit works very well and is a saviour after a long walk in a warm weather. Having a washing machine inside the apartment is a bonus and ofcourse NETFLIX.. great idea Vagabond Broadway team.! enjoyed a family night bonding watching show and movies. Location is perfect too, most sightseeing places are walkable. Cafes, pubs and bars are within easy distance. Staff are pleasant too. will recomend the place to anyone and will definite;y stay again!

Construction noise PERMEATED my 1st floor unit. Intermittent but regular hammering and drilling. I got three quiet days due to the public holiday and then every morning from 8:30 including Saturday it started. Add that to the noise of a child running in the overhead unit and this place wasn’t peaceful. The other issue is that when I checked in, they overcharged me because I paid in LOCAL HUNGARIAN CURRENCY. They advertised their price in euro on hotels.com and then used some obscure conversion rate into HUF rather than the interbank rate. Then they tried to say they use the buy rate so I looked that up and it wasn’t the published buy rate so they showed me some other rate on the banks website as if that made it OK. But they weren’t changing currency. I was paying in HUF. All they needed to do was convert it but they wanted to make another 16€ off me. Hotels,com even called them to say it’s not acceptable but they weren’t budging so now hotels.com is looking into it further and they were nice enough to make it up to me. The unit is fine BTW. Nothing earth shattering and for the price they could clean it or take the trash out every few days. But it’s new and it’s clean and in a good location and there’s on site reception. I just had a lousy experience and think they’re unethical. But if the construction finishes and you pay ahead it’s fine.

like a hot girl with no substance
THe internet didn't work, which is a huge deal when you don't have phone data and need the internet. Also the apartments are very pretty on the outside but not functional. For example, the shower was leaking water, the sink was underneath the cabinets, the door locks were very hard to manage. Kind of like a hot girl without much substance... location was good, space was very clean, but i would not stay there again.

One of the most well-put together and sensibly formed apartment complex in Hungary/Europe. The girls are great at the reception with a good English knowledge. As a note, we had to request new towels etcetera (and still the cleaner was not informed about the bath rug so had to run back for it downstairs) even though we had a new booking when it should be natural that the cleaner would bring us new items automatically by check-in time the latest (as it is a basic procedure in all of the serviced apartments not only in Hungary but on a Europe-wide level), this did not happen that was quite unappreciated as well as we had to wait for a new set of bed linen until next morning!? Also paper towel for the kitchen is far more hygienic (even if it costs more to put a new one for each guest) that we only saw in the neighbouring countries as well as in the British Isles! very nice clean apartment in walking distance to city center and important sighseeings. Around nice restaurants and small supermarkets. Good choice to stay in Budapest.

New and clean. It was supposed to be two double beds. One bed was huge but the sofa bed was on the small side. Otherwise the apartment was excellent and in a great location.

The apartment is good, the only problem that we encountered was the heating in the bedroom beside the bath tub, it is open all the time, I tried to switch it off, but there is no control. I went down to reception to tell them about the problem, the lady came up to check and couldn’t find the control. She promised me that she’s ask the cleaners and she’ll comeback to us. But she didn’t, until we left. It’s so so hot, I managed to sleep 2-3 hours in the night. I couldn’t open the window because we can hear the bell from the church every hour. That’s the only problem we were encountered during our stay in the apartment, otherwise the apartment is so nice, very quiet, safe and very near to spar. Came back home last Wednesday, not well with cough and colds.

The property has everything you need for your stay including a washing machinse, dishwasher and microwave. However there is only one mirror in the whole apartment, only a trivial thing and very easily fixed, but the apartment would certainly benefit from another one especially when the only one there steams up after a shower. Could also do with a toilet roll holder in the wc. Access to the building is via a keypad entry system to the exterior. The kitchen has everything you require including induction hob, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher and microwave. Good access to both tram and bus connections and some lovely restaurants near the Theatre/Opera en-route to Oktogen metro station.
