Apartment Painter ... is a large comfortable double room (with an extra single bed) and a smaller, well-furnished connected single room offering spacious accommodation for up to 4 people. Be on the third floor of an attractive and historic building with 2 elevators. Perfect for short and long term too. There are supermarkets, the local Lehel market, many good local restaurants and cafes. Provided different good quality mattresses that the holidays will be more comfortable. The bathroom is elegant with shower + bath. There is an indoor corridor for drinking coffee or wine, or for smoking. Neighbors are nice, speak english and french. Public transport is fast and easy to access. Only 100 meters from the trolleybus and on the boulevard Saint Stephen the main number 4 - 6 trams. Also the tourist tram number 2. We always welcome our guests personally and help them during their holidays :)


Location: ... the building is one of the Palatinus Palaces (part of World Heritage) in the historic Jewish quarter, where old cafes and local restaurants are bustling. Exceptional area, perfect location. The Danube 20 meters, also possible to see from the window because the apartment has a panorama side on the river. The place is calm, calm and elegant. The inhabitants like to live here. Children welcome. Margaret Island is the other side of the river 5 minutes walk, good place to run and relax among the hundred-year-old trees (impressive). Painter is a great place to stay and enjoy the real Budapest.

The apartment is lovely and kept in excellent condition. The hosts were also extremely friendly and their recommendations for things to do / places to eat were fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, very nice apartment

The apartment is walking distance from Parliament, trams, and buses. In a very nice neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The hosts are very helpful, greeting you in person and going over local information and house rules. The apartment is very nice and clean with useful kitchen. Best place in Budapest for a couple.

Excellent little apartment in perfect location.

Lovely and very clean little apartment, in fantastic location.Owners were excellent at responding to questions before arrival. They also arranged my transport from and to the airport. My flight was very delayed, but they very kindly waited for me and explained everything I needed to know about the appointment. The appointment has everything you could possibly need for your stay, and hosts were happy to help with anything extra you could possibly need.I would highly recommend the personal tours on offer with Janos. I had excellent time and will be definitely coming back.

Wonderful Experience!

This was mine and my husband's first trip to Budapest and it was perfect. Janos and Jozsef are wonderful hosts. They are warm, welcoming, informative and very responsive. The apartment is in a wonderful neighbourhood filled with shops and restaurants and is perfectly situated for exploring almost everywhere on foot. Feel like home

The flat is very well located. Just a few minutes from the parliament, tram lines and located in an area full of little shops and cafes to eat. The owners were SO, so so kind. They take care of you and thoroughly explain how the city is and are available for anything you may want or need. Excellent in every way. Thank you so much for everything and you certainly have 2 friends in Spain!

Old World Charm with Wonderful Hosts

The apartment is perfect, just as described…comfortable with good beds and linens. Useful items in kitchen and bathroom including a clothes washer. Great location…short walk to trams, Danube, parks, interesting restaurants and cafes. Best part was the very helpful and friendly hosts who eased our way into enjoying all that Budapest has to offer. Very helpful in recovering our delayed luggage. Always knew they could be reached if needed.

You must stay here in Budapest

When you want to be close to everything and yet far enough away to enjoy some quiet at the end of the day, this is the perfect place. Set in an historic building at the edge of the bustling city, you’ll find this quiet neighborhood a perfect location to start your exploration of Budapest. Janos, the host could not have been nicer! Make sure to spend some time talking with him upon your arrival, he’s full of terrific recommendations and will be on hand to answer your questions during your stay. Overall, we had a terrific time at this property and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Do choose this listing, you won’t regret it!

Stay in Budapest

Jozsef and Janos are some of the best property managers we have rented from. They were friendly, spoke excellent English, had a lot of well organized information to see the highlights of Budapest. They are very passionate about their country, the history of Hungary, their culture. The property was very clean and very comfortable. It had all the amenities of a home away from home. The location allowed very easy access to the Budapest public transportation which made it easy to get to all the places we wanted to explore. Many excellent restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away. A prime VRBO property if you are visiting Budapest. THANK YOU - Jozsef and Janos for allowing us to stay in the apartment.

The location worked really well for us. Check-in process began outside with a brief overview of the neighborhood which was appreciated. The apartment is in a quiet area of town, close to the river and many great places to eat. We were very comfortable and felt well taken care of.

We had a lovely, lovely stay at this clean and comfortable apartment in a fascinating, historical building in a clean, safe and gorgeous neighborhood. Excellent host!! Property ideally located within walking distance to all the main attractions!

I would definitely rent again next time I come to Budapest! Janoush and jozsef were very accommodating with lots of useful information. They even reserved a restaurant for us, they went out of their way to accommodate us. I'll go back to Budapest because of their hospitality!

Best hosts EVER

The hosts are amazing, super friendly and quick to communicate with us. Had we needed anything in the apartment or around town, they had offered their help. When we informed them of our plans for the city, they asked if they could review them with us and we soon had a map of the city they had marked up for us with suggested routes and tram lines numbered everywhere. The location was near most everything and the apartment was perfect. If I moved to Budapest, I’d want that apartment and location. 6 stars, will book again.
