Magical places
The experience in this hotel was magnificent. The owners were super helpful and attentive showing us the way to get there. When we finally arrive, the place is gorgeous!! The houses were spotlessly clean, they had everything you need plus more. After check in our dinner was served and was delicious. This hotel sits between 2 mountains and the view is magical, plus the hosts where super nice and humble people. Breakfast was the best! Overall the best hotel we stayed in Iceland. We hope to comeback soon.

A dream come true!
If you only read the start of this review: do not hesitate even for a moment to book this place! Hotel details first and then some more extras: AMAZING views, so cozy and the details were amazing. The bathroom was like a spa, robe and all. Her home cooked dinner might have been the best meal during our week long trip in Iceland. Be sure to check out the small shop with sheepskins (from her farm!) and other handmade goods - shop small and local! We wanted to stay for several more days for R&R. Really a hidden gem. And - if you have a loose itinerary, definitely ask her for advice along your road trip! Now for the extra details of how amazing the hosts are: We had a bit of a rough journey to Dalahyttur, as we got a flat tire about 75km away after driving on some gravel roads. I called the owner to let her know we would be late for dinner and she tried everything she could to find someone to help us, as our rental car company had lots of fine print (which would have made it $1500 USD to help us). We ended up changing the flat and making it to her property in howling winds and pouring rain. We checked in and she had her husband attempt to fix our flat outside in the rainstorm. When it didn’t work because the tire was too messed up, she called a personal favor in to a friend in the town over to meet us on a Saturday (when everything is closed) to sell us a new tire and change it out on our car. She really went above and beyond. You won’t regret this booking.

The views here were amazing. Beautiful units with gorgeous mountains behind. We stayed in the luxury double room which was beautifully appointed with wonderful extra touches. Check in was wonderful as we were given many recommendations for our trip around the Snaefellsnes peninsula the next day.

Everything about it was amazing. Beginning with checkin. The owners were so helpful with checking in and information about the area. Our cottage was brand new and very modern. Our view of the patio was breathtaking. We then went back to the office/restaurant where the owner cooked us dinner. The food was amazing, we came back and had lunch with her the next day. They even let us choose what was on the big screen TV. A little volcano watching and a little Olympics watching. The wifi worked great. I recommend these cottages highly. It was hard for us to leave, the owners were so wonderful. They answered all our Icelandic questions. We already miss being there. If we ever get the chance to go back to Iceland, we will definitely stop there but for more than 2 nights, it wasn’t enough time.

Fantastic days in Dalahyttur
Very nice cabin and the host is great. Very helpful with info about the area. Good location if you want to do a one day selfdrive around Snæfellsnes or Dalir. Very nice area.

The owner gave us a lot of information on the points of interest around the area when we checked in. The cottage is fairly new, and bed is comfy. The little kitchenette has everything you need, including tea and coffee. Just remember to bring your own body wash and shampoo!

Fabulous location, great lodge and super host. The owner has Icelandic horses closeby, so great fun to see them. We had a lovely evening meal for a reasonable price. We even saw the northern lights (February). We will visit again of we get the chance. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

By far the most uniquely beautiful property during my stay in iceland. Clean, quiet, CLASSY, and got the basics that you need. Reception is also a restaurant which is convenient for a rural location. Property owner gave us her warmest welcome and biggest smile upon arrival.

조금 외진곳이라 비포장도로 5키로정도이지만 가본 게스트하우스중 역대급임. 오로라보기에 좋은곳이고 호스트아주머니가 매우 친절하심. 방이 아기자기하고 너무 안락함. 강추해요

Hele kleine cottage, wel doordacht ingericht. Badkamer wel voldoende groot en praktisch. Zeer klein keukentje, met enkele kleine kookpotten, niet om een volledige menu te bereiden...Alles was zeer net, zeker een aanrader.

Durch die Lage am Ende eines Tales sehr ruhig, schöne Wandermöglichkeiten sind gegeben. Sehr nette Vermieterin, zu der wir schnell einen netten, persönlichen Kontakt bekommen haben. Es lohnt sich, länger als 1-2 Tage zu bleiben. Die gesamte Umgebung ist alles andere als überlaufen und bietet tolle Landschafts- und Kulturerlebnisse.

Ein kleines schnuckeliges Häusschen mit allem was man braucht. Ist alles noch neu und daher im sehr guten Zustand. Trotz der Abgeschiedenheit sehr gute Wifi Verbindung.

地點在山裡 泥石路 天氣不好時開車千萬要注意 但小木屋非常溫馨 主人非常友善 天氣好時絕對是看極光的好地點 小木屋有小廚房可簡單料理 It is a cozy, clean and small house with a small kitchen. Great spot to see Aurora if possible. The host is very friendly. Highly recommend. However, be careful to drive there if the weather is bad.
