Charming Log Cabin Family-friendly Home Walking Distance to Town STR-045

Quaint, well-furnished home on cue-de-sac street with all the amenities needed for a fun and easy getaway. Three bedroom, two living areas, full & furnished kitchen, three outside sitting areas and full-size yard with fire pit for use when fire danger LOW.

From every direction you are surrounded by the mountains on a quiet street with a stream that runs behind the house seasonally. Just a short walk from downtown with plenty to do from walking, dining, rafting, hiking, coffee, shopping among other activities. Three ski resorts within an hour away.

This cabin was originally put together in the northwest and then moved to Buena Vista, CO as a model home. Later, this owner purchased it and moved it again to here in town and has spent the last five years making into a modern-day retreat. After extensive updating, the home is now ready for your stay.

Note: due to dry weather and that this is a log home, there is NO SMOKING in or one the property at any time by anyone in your party. This is for your safety and that of your guests.

This was the perfect place to stay for our family reunion/wedding. The location could not be beat! The house itself was completely stocked with whatever we needed. The beds, linens, towels were fabulous! Our Host was lovely and very informative.We will be back!

The host, Grace, lives nearby. Her log home is located on a very nice lot, consisting of her home and two newly built rental apartments. Surrounding neighbors and neighborhood creates a comfortable living experience for her rental clients. Downtown shopping is easily available. The street and neighborhood residents are very friendly. Grace is a super host. We have rented her log home for fall of ‘24 and fall of ‘25. There are nearby walking trails and scenic streets. We hope to return!

This cabin was everything it appeared to be online. It was well appointed with kitchen appliances and even some condiments we appreciated. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet.

Colorado is beautiful

We were quite comfortable in this home and only 10 minutes from a wedding destination. It’s within walking distance of Main Street and reasonable driving distance to horseback riding, hot springs and hiking. The host was quite responsive before and during our stay. So much to explore, so little time.

Awesome Stay!

We have been coming to Buena Vista for many years and this cabin is our new favorite. We had the best most relaxed time staying here. Great location, tons of room, and everything provided that you could need. Communication with the owner was great and friendly. My kids were upset we had to leave. We will be back for sure.

Grace has a wonderful and welcoming home! We had such a great and restful time there. Thank you for all you do to make it special. The views and walks are amazing. Beautiful, Comfortable Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay here at Grace’s cabin. The cabin is exactly as listed. It is a reasonable walk or short drive to anything in town. The house is equipped with everything you need for cooking, laundry, and just relaxing whether you’re inside in the comfortable living room, or outside on the wraparound porch. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!

This was a great place to stay! The house is located on a newer street with nice new houses. This house was clean, property well maintained. Has a cozy log cabin feel with all the amenities you need. It was perfect for our party of three, but this would comfortably fit a party of 6. The owner was great to communicate with for questions and instructions. I would recommend to others and would stay here again.

Wonderful place and host

I had an incredible stay at this property, where the host, Grace, made the experience truly exceptional. Her warm hospitality and attentive care added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. The home itself was cozy and tastefully decorated. We were only a few minutes drive from main street where you can find great food and lots of shops. Nice mountain home in great location.

This property is in a quiet neighborhood very close to downtown activities and on the way to most mountain adventures. This proper to worked well for a multi generational family with a comfortable common area. In our stay we saw a large buck in the driveway, a fox loping down the street and a large rabbit. The songbirds provided a nice background. The property owner was available and responsive.

The Best Rental I've Stayed In!

This property is beautiful and the layout is great for multiple families. The location is close to down and there are many hiking trails within a few minutes drive. There were so many little extra comforts of home and the kitchen has everything we needed with plenty of extra dishware. It was a wonderful stay. I have stayed in rentals all over the U.S and Europe and this was definitely my best experience overall. I would stay her again for sure! Grace was an exceptional host and very easy to communicate with and accommodating to our needs.

Perfect Hostess Right Next Door!

Not only is this home beautiful and very well maintained with a great deal of care, our hostess Grace was right next door! She recommended restaurants and shopping in Buena Vista which was very helpful. She was even so thoughtful to bring over a swing and toys for our 15 month old granddaughter to enjoy! Very highly recommend this lovely home and hostess!

Beautiful Home and Friendly Host

This beautiful cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood with mountains on 3 sides. Beds are super comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, and the open concept kitchen/den was perfect for our family gatherings. The host, Grace was friendly and helpful. NOTE: the online pictures do NOT give justice to this amazing home. In real time the cabin is much more roomy and sunny. Book this home! You won’t regret it.

Excellent. We loved this charming, homie, well maintained log cabin (house). Just the right amount of space for six people. We had all we needed to make meals in house. Beds/pillows very comfortable. Our hostess, Grace, was very accomodating. The only drawback was that is was .8 of a mile from mainstreet so we had to hop in the car each time the teens wanted to shop or just hang out downtown, but that would never deter us from renting it again. Very pleased!

This property is amazing

Great stay, Our host, Grace, was very responsive to all our questions. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and exactly what we were looking for. The house even more gorgeous. Buena Vista is a beautiful location and our home base at this rental was perfect for our family. Equipped with everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable, tv and wifi were perfect for our needs. Even extra games stocked for a perfect family night. Would recommend this rental and we hope to return to this rental next year. Also, the location is close to restaurants, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. Would recommend to any family that wants to see more of Colorado.

BV family trip

Need to fix a few items before the next renter arrives. Overall good stay / nice house. Kitchen floor is a known trip hazard. This would have been a huge issue if my MIL joined us. Must fix ASAP. Also need to fix the ice maker and a handle on the upstairs shower. A couple of beds were not made upon our arrival. Several dead and alive bugs / spiders. Coffee pot not clean. Fix known repairs and a better clean, then 5 stars.

Retreat during a wedding for our son

Wow!! What can I say?? This is the most wonderful retreat during all the wedding festivities who wanted a quiet retreat during the wedding weekend. The house was so perfectly supplied with everything you need for cooking, relaxing and being with family. This is NOT a party house and as parents of the groom, this is perfect for us. Take the time to sit on the deck near the brook that runs behind the property- better than any technique for calmness. I recorded it. Watch the wind through the Aspen leaves, it’s magical and I filmed that too. Take a walk around the neighborhood and see the beauty. During a hectic extended wedding weekend, this was perfect!!
