Everyone is so nice in this hostel. They have everything you need. It's a fantastic place to stay. For bar exam takers, you can also choose this place to save some money on expensive suites downtown. Big shoutout to JP, the best host ever :) Support this hostel as much as possible so Buffalo City will consider keeping it running!!

Staff is really good and location is near from Buffalo metro bus station. Bed, bathroom and kitchen are clean. It was overall good experience.

Shockingly clean
Before I begin, let me say that if you are never going to be comfortable with possibly having up to 7 roommates, then nothing I say here will make you feel better. I had low expectations going in. It was a hostel and the price was low, so I figured my review would say "You get what you pay for", well this was an amazing facility. It was cleaner than many "real" hotels I stayed at. It's located in the theater district and there are plenty of things to do nearby. There is no parking, but there is ample street parking. Bring a lock with you, as there are lockers to lock your valuables away, but you need to supply your own lock. They have two large common areas, where you are welcome to come and go along with hundreds of books and VHS tapes for you to use. There are some DVD's too, but if you ever wondered what happened to all those VHS tapes you got rid of, they ended up here. The beds are all twin size. I think they're all bunk beds, but I can only speak to my room. The staff were polite and helpful. The only sorta issue I had was there was never any staff at the desk, but they did have a phone to call someone if you needed any assistance.

Ultra Convenient and Cozy
This is a hostel, so you should manage expectations of privacy or luxury. But, it is in a super convenient location in the heart of downtown Buffalo, with the metro trolley outside of the front door, and the Buffalo Convention Center only a 6 minute walk away. I was in town to explore and attend a conference and found this a cheap and convenient place to do both. The express shuttle to the airport (#204 for $2.50) leaves from around the corner. You can take a municipal bus from nearby (#40 for $2.00) to Niagara Falls- so cheap and so easy!! The staff were all helpful and so warm and inviting. I liked the feel of the lobby, it was very quirky and cozy. I found the other guests to be an interesting mix of people and all were quiet and respectful. I stayed for 5 nights and slept well the whole time (with a few light bumps to the head from the bottom bunk when I woke up). Overall, this was a great find and I would totally stay here again!

Great location, delightful visit.
Lovingly decorated kindergarten classroom-aesthetic of the whole place somehow extremely cosy. No fuss check in/out, great WIFI. Few minute's walk from the bus station ideal.

The staff was very accommodating when I needed to purchase two one-day passes when I was furnishing my apartment. The hostel is very conveniently located in downtown Buffalo and needs your support to avoid expiring when its final lease runs out! Save the hostel!

It was very clean and well run. Good wifi connection which I needed for work. Could use some modernizing but for $30 per night you can't ask for more. I will stay again if I return to Buffalo. I drove and found parking for 2 blocks away for 30/night.

I was told I would have a locked room for me and my stuff and share a bathroom. I swung past earlier in the day and saw that was a lie. I couldn't trust the residents of that Room to treat myself and my stuff safely. They charged me when I had cancelled within 12 hours if making the reservation. Then when I called back for shelter they said they had a complaint about me and said I couldn't t stay even though I paid for it. I simply saw it wasn't safe for me or my stuff and canceled. I had stored my stuff elsewhere when I called back. The whole experience sucked.

First time at a hostel
I stayed here for 2 days, visiting town for New Years Eve. I've never stayed in a hostel before. That said, it was a bit weird for me just because I'm used to hotels and not a hostel. Check in was easy. There is a passcode required to get inside the building and the code changes daily, which is nice because then you know a random person who isn't staying there can't just walk in. Parking was a challenge. Yes I was visiting on a holiday weekend. Maybe that had something to do with it. I don't know. But be prepared to walk with your luggage and be prepared to pay for parking. I managed to find a free spot on the street on my first night which was still a bit of a hike, and had to find a spot in a parking garage a few blocks away the second night. It is what it is....it's a city and parking will be limited. There are limited spots on the same street as the hostel and they're marked as 2 hour parking. The inside of the hostel really did look like a home. There was a living room, a rec room in the basement, the kitchen had 2 stoves, 2 refrigerators, free coffee and oatmeal, utensils for cooking and dishes, etc. There is a computer in the lobby. The tv in the basement has netflix. Washing machines are available. Wifi was unreliable on 3rd flr but fine on all other floors. The staff was very nice. The only weird thing for me was sharing a room with other people but again, that's what you get with a hostel. Privacy is limited but it's a cheaper option than a hotel.

Rock n' Roll Weekend!
Favorite band playing two shows at Town Ballroom - literally right next door to the Hostel! Paid for two nights for less than one night down the road at Holiday Inn or Marriott. Hardly saw another soul until I left on Sunday and never more than a handful total. Hostels aren't for everyone but worked out for me this trip!

Great staff and location.
Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. The hostel is in a great location for the local attractions and public transport. Chad was full of local knowledge from the gigs that night to tours to where to eat. The hostel was clean and nice. I would certainly stay here again.

Affordable Stay & Great Location!
The hostel is ideally located in Buffalo's Theater District and within easy walking of many great downtown locations! I was traveling for school-related purposes and appreciated the affordability of the stay and reliability of the wifi when working in the evenings. The only downside was that others in my room checked in late on 2 of the 3 nights that I stayed there, so falling and staying asleep was a bit tough, but nothing some (free!) coffee in the morning couldn't fix.

Nice and friendly staff. Great kitchen and other facilities. Buffalo is a good city to explore on foot and bike, which the hostel provide on for-donation. However, the internet was not very fast.
