"Great hotel. For those wanting to scuba there is a diving center associated with the hotel. A speed boat departs directly from hotel, getting you to the dive location before other large companies. Your small group will have access to the locations before others arrive. The BBQ spot by the pool offers yummy food. Great place for those with families but with three pools and a kid area it’s also great for those without kids. Spa and an activity area allows you to be entertained at the hotel. They also provide easy booking to day tours and whatever you may need. "

"I had a wonderful week at Sangat Island Dive Resort. Really I cannot overstate how special the place is. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable (no problem without air conditioning, there is a lovely breeze), the food is delicious, the location is beautiful and so peaceful, and the dive shop is fantastic It was beyond my expectations, just perfect. I did my PADI advanced certification (big thanks to Tom!). The wrecks are very cool, spectacular coral and a variety of fish. I also enjoyed the Coron Island Adventure with Clyde - such a fun, well-planned day to more spectacular places. I should also note that I was completely comfortable traveling alone there. Sangat proves that we can have a lovely vacation and still respect the environment. We can minimize our impact. I’ve heard other “eco resorts” aren’t really protecting the local environment. Sangat is genuine. "

"Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Hotel is a short tuk tuk into town or a decent walk if you’re feeling adventurous. The hotel is definitely a bit dated and doesn’t feel quite like a 4 star resort. Elevator was under maintenance the whole 5 nights of our stay and wifi didn’t work very well for us. Overall I’d say this is the best option in this location just a little different than we expected. "

"The staff and location is the best thing about this resort. Matt, the diving instructor, and the boat captains were excellent. The rest of the staff - cooks,,servers, housekeeping - were so friendly and kind. Although there is construction going on to expand and renovate the resort, they were pretty quiet and respectful. The room we stayed in is one of the newer rooms but even the older rooms were okay. The resort is very quiet and peaceful with ocean views. "
