General comment
Selborne Hotel is home away from home. Christine and team give the place a warm touch. The rooms are top notch and the Wi-Fi is excellent. However, the outside and furniture reception area look ‘tired’ and outdated. It hardly reflects the high standard of decor and modern upgrades characteristic of the rooms.

Great place, great staff
Amazing colonial style hotel with very helpful staff, great restaurant, beautiful garden and convenient parking. Large balcony facing the street but not noisy. Special thanks to MacDonald who helped me find fuel. He was very helpful and humble. Overall great stay.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We sincerely apologize for the noise and understand how this must have inconvenienced you during your stay. City by-laws don't permit music to be played after 11pm so this should never have happened. Following your review we have implemented a strict policy regarding the noise at the Kings Head as well as restricted the volume at which the music will be played. Again we are very sorry about this. Kindly note you may call the front office from your room at any time if every you are experiencing any issues so we can address them immediately to make your stay more comfortable. Good room, helpful staff and good internet. This property works best as a business hotel. However many parts of the property are in disrepair and a refurbishment program is underway (not complete). This means dust and noise. Guests who are not from Southern Africa may find some aspects of this property challenging.

It was to noisy, the restaurant was under renovation, wifi worked very poorly and only in the reception area.

Nette Hotelzimmer aber falsche Werbung
Hotel ist sehr zentral in der Stadt gelegen. Die Zimmer sind schön und gross. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Leider sind die in der Werbung beschriebenen zwei Restaurants, die Bar und auch die Poolbar nicht in Betrieb. Für die Bar muss das Hotel verlassen werden und kann der Betrieb nebenan, falls geöffnet, besucht werden. Ärgerlich für die Gäste und auch schade für das nette Team im Hotel. Während den 5 Tagen im Hotel fand zusätzlich ein Kongress statt, so dass leider auch der Pool nicht benutzt werden konnte. Das Hotel sollte so was den Gästen vorher mitteilen.
