"Staff were super friendly and helpful! A special shoutout to Jeremy who had helped us with dinner bookings and TV connection. The Gibraltar room is decently sized. The king bed was comfortably big however, the mattress is not so firm so if you’re used to sleeping on firm mattresses the first night will need some adjusting to. Room comes with sheer and blackout curtains, great for lighting and sleeping. Overall cleanliness can be improved but at least the bed was clean so we’re quite happy with that. You’ll need to ask for amenities such as dental kits and bathrobes. Apart from basic housekeeping such as making the bed and providing new towels, it doesn’t look like refill amenities and refreshments. It can get noisy near the door area, but it didn’t bother us. The room we stayed in also has a fantastic view of the golf course (hole 1), so overall, our experience was very positive."

"Rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated. Bathrooms are a bit on the small side but other wise in room ammenities are ample. Breakfast was lovely and satisfying set in a gorgeous space with beautiful views. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful Highlands weekend away. "

"Freezing ng when we arrived, so most important to note that the heater worked well! Parking right outside door of our room. Short drive to lots of restaurant options. Room was spacious with sparkling white linen and a good hot shower. Our room had a microwave which my husband found handy to reheat our Thai takeaway leftovers the next day!!!"

"Room was very small with creaky floors and very noisy overall. Elm balcony room has a shared balcony which wasn’t specified so I had people talking and hanging outside my room and could see inside my room. This is expensive hotel and I would have expected better rooms but given it’s and old building I guess that’s too be expected. Overpriced for what it is. Staff and service were excellent so that was positive. "

"Excellent location, spacious room and comfortable bed. I was on the ground floor opposite the conference room which was being used, it was very noisy especially early in the morning. Limited room service was a bit disappointing but there is a restaurant onsite. Hotel is very dark with a medieval theme. Bit outdated and could use a refresh. Otherwise nice place to stay that is very convenient. "
