"Great transport routes just a couple of minuets walk, the tram service is excellent, apart from that our only intervention with the surrounding area was limited, purposeful but not pleasing to the eye. We used the trams to travel into Amsterdam and found a huge amount of restaurant's and bars."

Great Hotel & staff but terrible breakfast
"Had a great stay & staff were amazing. Let down by the awful breakfast which we were charged €48 for 2 guests . Had to wait 10 mins for coffee at the bar & not even able to have toast . Poor standard of food on offer , shame .."

Nice hotel, bad service
"Our stay at the Van Der Valk was fine. It is too far from the inner city so travel expenses were higher. My only complaint was that me and my friend took an $100 baking class and the staff threw it away when they cleaned our room. The food was in a bag on top of our table no where near the trash. ..."
