"We were on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide and looking for a good night rest. This turned out to be exactly what we didn’t want to experience. The hotel is situated at the busy intersection and our room is the closest to the intersection. Heavy traffic starting at 6+ and there are heavy trucks passing by every 10 seconds. Upon check out the front desk staff didn’t bother to find out whether we had a good night rest instead she started by asking “did you consume anything at the minibar?” We wouldn’t return to that hotel and we wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there especially when you need a quiet rest after a long days drive. Extremely disappointing!"

"My second stay at Kelpie Cottage and I just adore it. So quiet away from the main town of Mt Gambier but close enough for convenience. Everything that could be needed, plus more is provided by the hosts. Easy check-in, gorgeous location and I just love the fact that they are a rescue for Maremma Sheepdogs. Very comfortable cabin with very generous provisions which was appreciated for breakfast.I can’t speak any higher of the hosts, they love what they do and it shows. Thank you again, I’ll be back! "

"Wow, this property would have to be the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Presentation was exactly as depicted online. It fit our whole family very comfortably. I could see myself in the floors they were that clean. The decor was beautiful throughout the whole house. We couldn't think of anything that wasnt provided or that we needed. The small touches like sauces, salt & pepper, tea, coffee were very appreciated. The host was great with communication. There was a lovely big backyard. It was a great place for a family getaway. "
