"We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. "We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. "One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Large room, perfect for us and our daughter to share, with a huge stone terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs, looking directly at the mountains. Wonderful horse-riding close by and hiking directly from the parador. Delightful staff in the restaurant and fantastic regional food."
