So I get a 1 out of 5 review because there was lady bugs outside? You never even saw a room and I didn't charge you for cancelling the day of. I apologize that the Alpine can't control Asian Lady Beetles in the state of Kentucky. We will work on that though. I'm putting my team together to fix this problem.

The history of the propertyand the view was amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The are was very quiet and I thought it would of been nice to have more places to eat.

Beautiful view
We have stayed here many times before and everyone is always nice and courteous. However, we had just booked it before we got there and the girl named Katie acted condescending to the older lady on the computer because there was new software and then rolled her eyes when she ask her to check a room for us. We had never been treated like that before but we had never met Katie either. Other than that everything was great as usual

I really enjoyed my two nights. The bed is extremely comfortable. I loved the view and rustic furniture. The owners are sweet, kind, and genuinely caring in regard to making sure you have a good stay. It is an older hotel that has received updates and owners are husband wife and son that go above and beyond to make sure they provide you a comfortable room for your stay.

Don't miss the sunrise!
The Alpine is our absolute favorite place to stay. The view is breath taking, especially at sunrise. The staff treats you like family and the beds are quite comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Great little place on the hilltop
We do rides up here every year. The place is clean and quiet. John is always a great host. You won't be disappointed staying here.

The view was nice however the odor in the room was unpleasant. The shower stall smelled musty/moldy as thought it hadn’t seen disinfectant. The air coming out of the window a/c was musty as well. We actually made a special trip to the store for dryers sheets to stuff into the a/c vent and purchased cleaning products for the shower...

This is a hill top lodge which is a throwback to years gone bye. The views are beautiful and this place just lifts you from whatever your stress from the real world. A very relaxing and cool place. My room was very nice and the patio with the wooden rocking chairs and terrific views was an elixer.

Quaint Hotel Find!
Enjoyed our stay which brought us a few miles off the Hwy 127 yard sale corridor. Price was great and staff very friendly and helpful. View from our room was breathtaking. Local restaurant was really good. Would recommend and will return if ever in the area again.

Staff very pleasant. Only problem they could not find my reservation, but luckily they had room. This place is about the only game in town. Manager kindly refunded me an accidental overcharge. Much appreciated. Views are remarkable; property sits high above town below. Only improvement I would make is in the soap and shampoo department. Soaps small and chip like.

The Alpine Lodge was an excellent place to stay. The location is unique and gives an excellent view to enjoy. The room was very nice. Loved the mirror and wood design on the wall. The bed was very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and more than accommodating in our checking in and out to fit our schedule. There is not a restaurant with the Lodge to eat at this time, but that would be nice if it did. I highly recommend the Alpine Lodge and Resort for an excellent place to stay.

It is a small town atmosphere so a lot of the amenities you would expect in a larger town are not available. I had business io conduct in the town and the lodge served its purpose very well from that prospective. A little pricey but neat and clean and quite so I could get my work done. Overall, nice, relaxing experience

Nice hotel & nice view! My husband’s side of the bed sagged quite a bit in the middle & people smoking in and around the rooms was uncomfortable for those of allergic to smoke. The pool is nice & clean, but small. It really doesn’t accommodate the amount of rooms in the hotel. Otherwise, great staff & nice facility.

I apologize for your experience with us an Expedia. When you book a room on a sold out weekend and don't have the courtesy to call to tell us you're not coming you get charged the first night. That is our policy and it is clearly stated.

Great stay!
Was skeptical when I first got there but the man at the desk was so nice and helpful. I got to my room and it was very clean and updated to my surprise. I would definitely stay again.

nice relaxing place to go to.
We had a great trip back to the Alpine Motel. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Over all comment. I was very pleased with the room, staff the view, Had a pool. We would like to tell other people about the Motel. I think that it is a great place and we will go back again.

I guess my only issue is the water pressure is not great and the water is not really hot. You have to have it turned all the way hot to get warm water. Other than that, nice place to stay when i go home.

Perfect for a Writing Retreat
This would be a perfect place for a writing weekend or any type of work for which you need an extended undisturbed time. It is a beautiful setting on the top of a mountain and the WiFi works great. The rooms have balconies/porches with a bench that converts into a desk for working outside. The owner gave us better accommodations than we asked for, brought towels to the pool, offered to lend us dishes if we needed them. The only downside was that you had to drive into town for restaurants but it doesn't take long to get down the mountain. Except for breakfast, we bought groceries and heated food in the microwave. I hope I have a chance to go back some day. I was going to add pictures but my photos are too large for the upload.

Loved this hotel.
This was a great 1950's style hotel that had had a facelift. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The owner was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again
