Beautiful lake house on Lake Champlain!

  • Enjoy spending time with family and friends in the great room with a Panton stone fireplace, every seat with a view out the large windows. Read a book on the covered deck or enjoy dining al fresco with the lake as your backdrop. BBQ, play games on the flat lawn, relax by the fire pit, fish, explore, so much to do. You are less than two miles from Basin Harbor Club, which offers tennis, boat rental, a championship golf course, restaurants and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. Drive 10 minutes into Vergennes for shopping, dining, an art gallery, antiques, bakery, library, churches, farmer’s market and a chocolatier, Daily Chocolate, a cannot miss for the chocolate lover! Burlington is 30 minutes north and Middlebury is 30 minutes south. Each with breweries to visit and too many events to name.

    The home’s kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking pleasure. Linens and towels are provided with full use of the washer and dryer. See below for a detailed list of amenities.

    Convenient one level living. Each bedroom has a lake view. The master has a queen bed with adjoining full bath. Guest wing with a queen bedroom and seating area for viewing DVDs and relaxing as well as a third bedroom with two twin beds share the second full bath. The seasonal bunkhouse has a twin over full bunk bed. Seasonal dock available July through October.

A beautiful lake front home

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at Mary's lakefront home. The views were amazing and we spent a lot of time out on the deck or by the water just soaking in the view of Lake Champlain. The house was spotless and kitchen fully stocked. Also so close to Middlebury, and Vergennes, and not too far to explore Burlington and Stow as day trips. Highely recommend staying here!

Location of the property was excellent. We attended a wedding at Basin Harbor and it was super convenient to all wedding activities. The house was perfect for our family of five adults. The lake was so peaceful and viewing the stars at night was our favorite activity.

Lovely lakefront property

What an incredible spot! The house was so comfortable and the deck overlooking the lake is a gem. It was 15 min to Vergennes which is a sweet little town. Would highly recommend!

Great getaway

We very much enjoyed our five-day stay at this house on Lake Champlain -- at one of the narrowest parts of the lake (NY is a kayak away). There's a high-ceiling living room, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and it's a great area for runs/biking/walks. We very much recommend it.

Lake Champlain house

The house was spacious and very comfortable for six adults. We used it as home base to explore the many hiking/shopping/historical attractions in the area. The kitchen was well stocked and we prepared most of our meals there. The lake was easily accessible. Overall, we had a great time and hope to stay again next year.

Another Amazing Stay on Champlain

This was our 4th visit to this property. Access to the lake is unbeatable as you are right on top of it. You can fish, boat, relax, swim, etc. Sunsets are beautiful as the house is facing west. Vergennes is 18 minutes away and cute as can be. Host is responsive and accommodating. We will be back for a 5th stay in 2025!

Immaculate scenic vistas, exceptional accommodating amenities, impeccably tended and clean, gorgeous grounds and accommodations (including bedding!!), and truly fully furnished kitchen. The ideal home on vacation!!! Will return again without hesitation. Owner was also very quick to respond with even small questions. And I felt like she really wanted us to enjoy our time there.

Another great visit to this special destination on Champlain.

We loved our stay (again) at this special house on Lake Champlain. Perfect for boating, fishing, and watching the sunset. Stay at the house the whole trip or visit the Maritime Museum or the town of Vergennes. Burlington is only 45 minutes away. Two separate sleeping wings give privacy if there is more than one family. 100% will return.

Vergennes Wedding Weekend

Stayed here with a small group of friends for a wedding this autumn, 5 of us total. The house was wonderful. Great living area with views of the lake, kitchen, and clean throughout. Instructions were posted centrally in the kitchen. Recommend a suv or a car with some height for the drive in since there are a few bumps on the road to get to the house, but the place has everything you need. Hopefully we'll be back to use the kayak some summer!

It is a beautiful property with access to the lake. Kitchen was good.. Living Room had a nice view of the lake. The ladder to the lake needed one more step for me. It was very difficult to get onto the ladder so I could get out of the lake. Also on the last evening and day we had no electricity or water. It would have been great of the property had a generattor.

Beautiful home on Lake Champlain

This house is so beautiful, and the location is just amazing. The large porch facing the lake, wow. Watching the morning fog on the lake is amazing. And the kids loved playing on the dock and rocks. The house is one floor, but very long with a large main room, the kids had so much fun running around the space! To note, there's only 1 tv and its in one of the, large, bedrooms and has a small couch and chair in there. The kitchen was stocked with essentials for cooking. Beds and linens were comfy. They even have a queen air mattress and linens we were able to use. We mainly stayed to attend a wedding at Basin Harbor, which was 5 mins away, so it was perfect! The host was quick to respond with anything we needed (even when she was in Europe! and provided a local # if needed). Would love to return sometime.

Lovely house on the water

Location of the house was amazing and tucked away in a quiet area for relaxation. The views were amazing and had water access with deck. We couldn’t really use dock platform because a recent flooding but that wasn’t an issue because we still fish, swim and kayak. The fishing off the property was awesome. You can catch Drum, yellow perch, bass, sunfish, and catfish. Even a Fish Station clean up your fish before you eat it. The house had everything we needed . We went as a family of six. A well equipped kitchen. Note the master bedroom on one end of the House, away from the other two bedrooms. Every bedroom had a view of the Lake. A huge back deck for you to sit and watch the views. Mary was very responsive when needed. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for lakefront getaway. And will sure to be back again.

Just perfect

A bright beautiful place that was absolutley clean top to bottom in every single area of the home. Fantastic great room and kitchen located in the center of the home with bedrooms separated by this common area; providing quiet and privacy for guests. The property is essentially flat in the front yard making it easy to walk into the home carrying, groceries, luggage etc. The house itself is spacious and open providing easy accesibility for everyone and anyone who might finding walking up stairs or varying levels, a challenge. The deck that runs the length of the home is perfect for dining outside, enjoying drinks, reading, and simply marvelling at the lake. The yard and dock are easy to access and we enjoying fishing and swimming. The basement with the washer and dryer was as clean and tidy as the home and was great to have to run a quick load of laundry and not have to drive home with wet bathing suits etc. Just perfect.

Vermont wedding

It was an interesting drive to the place. VERY remote. The place was a wonderful experience due to being right on the water and the large porch to relax on in between all the family functions we had to run to. We used the 3rd bedroom as a "living room" since there is no TV in the main living space and there was in one of the bedrooms. It worked out good for us since there was only 2 couples. Enjoyed Red Mill Restaurant 2 of the 4 nights we were there. Delicious! and right down the road. After that any other place to check out was 10-15 min away in Vergennes. Vergennes was a very cute place to explore. I would wonder about the effectiveness of the 2 AC units to cool the place. But maybe being so close to the water and with all the trees it doesn't need much to cool things down. We were very comfortable and it was prob mid - upper 70's during our stay. Would def use this place again! Linens etc great also. Beds comfortable too!
