Nearby Somerset is nationally known for classic car shows from April through September.

Cabin had everything: hot tub, pool table, propane grill, projection TV, well stocked kitchen! New cabin in a great location! We will definitely be back!

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Ellie’s place! Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Really enjoyed all the games provided, the pool table, and hot tub. We spent a lot of time on the back deck.

Pictures do not do the cabin justice

The photos do not do this cabin justice. It is very spacious and beautifully appointed. We all enjoyed our stay greatly. The hot tub is wonderful as is the projection screen and location of the cabin. We will be staying there again when in the area.

Great weekend with friends!

This property is perfect for a nice relaxing stay with family or friends. Close to lots of fun- or secluded if you are looking for a “do nothing” weekend. We will keep this little house on our radar for sure!

New Years With The Family

Our family of 6, all adults, had a great time at the cabin. The 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom was great. The owner h as thought of everything, this cabin was so well stocked. The cabin was very clean as well. We will definitely be back. though

Our first family vacation

We absolutely loved Ellie's Place! The cabin had something for everyone from the hot tub, to the projector, pool table, jumbo Jenga, jumbo connect 4 and Cornhole! The property owners were very quick to answer questions and help with whatever we needed. Great family getaway! Definitely will recommend and be back ourselves!

Late Christmas

We missed Christmas with our grown children due to work schedules. We used the cabin as a meeting place to celebrate. We stay in VRBO’s regularly and this cabin is fantastic! Very clean! Our favorite yet! Had everything. We played pool, board games, spent time in the hot tub, and had several meals. We will be back.

Cozy Stay

Ellie's Place was very welcoming and cozy to stay. We all had an amazing time . Even the teenagers loved it here. I really appreciate everything thay have done with this place, essentially making us feel welcomed. One of the teenagers have lost their watch but the owners was so nice and mailed the watch to us. I really appreciated everything and will recommend coming back here.

Perfect Sisters Weekend!

We enjoyed our stay at “Ellie’s Place” immensely! It was laid out perfectly for three sisters whom had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The hot tub was fabulous as we used it almost every day during our visit! The location was perfect for us and private! We loved drinking coffee in the morning on the screened in porch as well as sipping wine on the porch in the evenings! The gas grill worked great for us to cook our own dinner on our last evening at the cabin! We drove over to Edmonton to see the “Savannah Sippin’ Society” which was an awesome play! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely try to book “Ellie’s Place” again!

Perfect Accommodations

Celebrated my birthday with friends and family (group of 4) at this beautifully suited cabin. Since we drove from Texas we showed up with very few supplies and found that everything we needed and more was onsite. Open floor concept upstairs with the kitchen leading onto both porches. Hot tub was definitely well maintained and the view from the back porch provided the best back drop to relax our cares away. From the kitchen to extra linen and detergent provided to head out with clean clothes, our stay was a dream. Fire pit downstairs with seating to enjoy the dancing flames in the quiet sounds of nature was a great touch for the Fall nights. We enjoyed visiting the local sights (our favorite was Cumberland Falls) and came home to whip up dinner in the amply equipped kitchen. Projector and speakers provided a nice soundtrack and the picture quality felt like a movie screen. I cannot say enough about how much we loved our stay but I will say that we are looking forward to visiting again soon!!!

Ellie’s Place

Ellie‘s place was very well equipped with kitchen items. The house was nice - it accommodated three couples nicely. The picture of the drive was deceptive - it would not accommodate 2 Tritoon boats & a fishing boat. Plus the road to Ellie‘s place would not accommodate Tritoon boats either. There are 10 miles of hilly & winding roads off of the main highway. The outside steps were weak/broken, the grill burners are rusted, there are electrical issues with the main light/ceiling fan. (We submitted a request to the owner to have these issues addressed by maintenance). We would strongly encourage anyone with large trailers/boats to leave them in there parking area.

Labor day

Pros: Beautiful open concept home. It was very spacious to include a bathroom for every bedroom. Very nice hot tub on a screened in back porch. Plenty of in home amenities, like cooking appliances and tools, towels, fans, games. Tons of things. It is very updated and well taken care of, and secluded. Cons: Very hard to find. The pictures posted on VBRO kind of misleading. I expected to see a lake view and the lake wasn't even close. There are three pools and although there were instructions for where everything was left for us to find things, such as the pool, the instructions were not legible. We spent a good hour going from gate to gate looking for the pools because the one in our area was so small and there were soooooooo many people in it that you couldn't move. The hot tub was great. I wish there was a place to hang towels so you could dry off a bit before going inside. Instead we just sat at the table so we wouldn't get the carpet wet. And while I know that we're staying in the woods, there were waaaaay too many spiders and centipedes for me lurking around the house. The goal for this trip was to relax and mourn the recent passing of my mom. I got exactly that here. It is a very very beautiful place. It's quiet secluded and relaxing. I don't think I would pay as much as I did, had I known that it wasn't waterfront or that the pools were so small. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing getaway.

We came with our motorcycles to enjoy the roads of Kentucky. They have some amazing roads to ride. Cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed to feel at home. Hope to come back again pne day.

Clean, spacious, quiet area

Checkin was super easy, we were given very easy instructions for the gate and the house. Full kitchen set up with plenty of kitchenware, hottub was very clean, wifi is fast. Would love to stay here again.
