"The rooms were clean. The staff consisted of the woman who was leaving and told us our keys were in the lockbox. Which was the last time I saw anyone in our 3 night stay. We asked about the bar and she said it's been closed for a few years. No restaurant either. Positive was our group of 6 had the place to ourselves. So if you need extra towels, you may want to bring your own. Positive side was it was quiet."

"Property was nice. Maintenance was mowing the grass when we arrived back from the store the first day so the kids couldn't play outside. Kitchen is lacking a sharp/ clean knife. I ended up just running to the store for paper products to use for the weekend. For the price of nearly 1k for a friday-sunday rental I would have liked to have nicer dishes and utensils as well as kitchen linens. No papertowels were provided so I had to run to the store again. House was ok clean, all tubs have mold growth in caulking. Over all the property is beautiful but for the price I would expect a little better quality of housewares. Linens that were provided were clean and comfy. Not top of the line but not awful. House is beautiful and has a lot of interesting nuances. It's nice that it holds a lot of people.Owner was very nice and explained about the mowing and that the trash cans were full and he needed to come pick them up the next day so we could put our trash in them.Overall a good experience just a little disappointed for the price."

"Our recent visit to Shady Pines was an absolute delight, marked by warm hospitality and scenic outdoor adventure. Shady Pines offered a welcoming retreat where every detail contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The home was clean and well appointed, and Mary Beth is an exceptional host.We spent a day at Prince Gallitzin State Park, known for its expansive landscapes and well-maintained trails, the park provided the perfect backdrop for hiking. We look forward to returning to do some more hiking and fishing at Glendale Lake. We would highly recommend Shady Pines."
