Beautiful Busan and Park Hyatt

Amazing hotel in a beautiful location. Staff from front door greeting to check in counter to house keeping were all superb. Love this place and the quality of service. The ladies that helped us with our luggage during check in and check out were outstanding, nicely represent the quality of the services of the hotel. Thank you Park Hyatt Busan Staff. Quite a walk to public transport so not very convenient getting around. We used the taxi most of the time. Room was clean and comfortable. Great views. Excellent service from very friendly staff. Beautiful property. ONLY complaint: They charge about $32 to use their sauna (hot/cold plunge pools and steam/hot saunas). I saw no reason for that as any other hotel includes this amenity. From what I could tell only guests may access so crowding didn’t seem to be a reason for it either. Hopefully, the’ll reconsider that charge.

The right balance

I think what comes off my mind initially was the location. Its not exactly at the busy areas but close enough that you can get a quick taxi ride or walk 20-30 mins. But I can say its definitely just right for us. My wife and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and that we can get to the popular areas without much hassle. Room was great with breathtaking views. Breakfast was good (special shoutout to the crab bimbimbap). Although I can say after 3 days, we got slightly bored with the choices. Nevertheless, the hotel was wonderful and we definitely will come again for future stays. For foreign travellers like ourselves, its probably good to note that you will need a swimming cap to use the pool facility. Thats something new for me so honestly i didn’t expect that. Had to buy swimming cap at the hotel.

Good only as a business hotel

The hotel was luxurious, lovely view. But there is no shopping or anything else near by, except for one row of restaurants. It is also not close to a subway, and is not one the beach. So it os purely a business hotel. The concierge was terrible. My friend left a package for me in the afternoon, but the concierge did not send it ip to my room. When I went to the concierge to check, they told me there was nothing for me. It was only after my friend called them that they sent the package to me. When I asked the concierge for directions to places of interest by public transport, their default position is to tell me to take a taxi. If i wanted to take a taxi, i do not need to ask for directions, right? As it turned out, although I had to change a bus, it was very easy to get to my destination. This is very disappointing for a 5 star hotel.

Liked the room and the beautiful view. Liked the service - we were going to leave too early to have breakfast the next morning so the hotel allowed us to have breakfast on the day we came in. That flexibility was very meaningful to me. I didn’t like the Patisserie. Quality of sandwiches were poor. Like the Jamon Beurre used a soggy type of bread instead of a proper baguette and the prices were much too high for what was on offer.
