December 2023 Stay
We enjoyed our stay at this Butler cabin. The check-in process was extremely easy and the property management team/owner provided all of the information ahead of time to make check-in extremely efficient. The property was very clean upon our arrival and is a beautiful location to enjoy some amazing family time in a very rural setting. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to have a relaxing vacation in a remote setting. Thank you for making our experience truly amazing!

Merry lil Christmas
The house was AMAZING. Decorated so cute for Christmas. Our little get away was so nice. The drive way is a bear but we didn't have a white one so it was ok lol. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful, peaceful cabin
Our family had a wonderful winter getaway in this lovely cabin. We all slept so well, relaxed, cooked some good food, and enjoyed the hot tub. Thank you for a special time.

Very nice
Very clean and cute place. Only thing o would change is having the TV in a common area and having a washer and dryer. With it being cold our bathing suites did not dry and we had to put them on wet the next day. Other than that it was a very nice place.

60th birthday weekend with 8 friends
We had such a great time, the pictures did not do it justice. The owners thought of everything to make our visit comfortable, the cabin was clean and and we loved the added touches to the decor. We will definitely be back

We had a great time at the Butler Cabin. There were 8 adults and accommodated us well. The rooms, hot tub, and fire ring were great. I thought the location was also great. We were able to go hiking, kayaking, and shop with very minimal drive time.

My family and I shared this house with another family for a weekend getaway. The house was amazing! It was very clean, the kitchen was stocked nicely and the views of the woods and nature was so pretty! The hot tub was very relaxing as well. The only thing I would recommend would be another TV in the upstairs of the house since the only TV there is in the kids room downstairs. Also, having the ability to use a washer and dryer on site would be a big bonus! If you plan on wanting clean clothes, you’ll need to drive into town and use the laundromat. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again!

Great Family Retreat
Three generations of my family stayed at the cabin. Everyone had a great time. We enjoyed the hot tub daily and had a fun time at night making s’mores around the fire pit. As for location there was something for everyone nearby. Some of us enjoying biking, walking or running on the nearby bike path. Others enjoyed hiking at Mohican. We all had a fun time at the Ugly Bunny Winery. What a great place to hang out. And we enjoyed an awesome meal at Landoll Castle. The cabin is in great condition and kept very clean. We definitely plan on staying here again.

6 adults enjoyed our getaway at this cabin. We choose somewhere different every year…Everything was very clean. Probably the best hot tub we’ve had. Really liked the fire pit area and that wood was provided! Not a big deal by any means, but a tv upstairs near fireplace might be a plus OR move tv from downstairs to game room area downstairs. Definitely recommend this cabin!

Girls weekend
We picked this home based on its proximity to the hiking trails at Malabar Farms and Mohican. The home is warm and inviting. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has great seating around a huge center island that's good for eating and games playing. Every window has a great view of the surrounding woods. The fire pit and hot tub are great for relaxing after outdoor activities and offer an opportunity for star gazing. The home was decorated for Fall both inside and outside. The driveway is steep but all of our cars went up and down easily. If you plan to do a lot of cooking I'd suggest bringing extra kitchen towels and dish clothes from home. There's no dishwasher but they provide a huge drying rack to make this chore easier. We loved everything about this home and look forward to returning in another season so we can really enjoy the trees.

The property was clean, the check in was simple, the setting was gorgeous! The deck was perfect, the kitchen was well stocked. We had a fantastic time just hanging out and playing games. We even did an escape room in Ashland. We would go back again!

Cozy cabin get away
This is exactly what my friends and I were looking! The property is beautiful and we made great use of the outdoor space for the first 70 degree weekend in ohio! Soaked up the sun while relaxing in the hot tub. You can’t go wrong with renting the space!

Mid-Week 2-day ski trip
Great place to stay. We skied two days at Snowtrails (20 min. Drive). Would have been nice to have a dryer to dry wet gloves, hats and jackets or maybe drying rack to put in front of fireplace. Driveway is very steep and we could not get up it at first. Had to put additional salt down and then go up in low gear. We had to try to get up several times. Once we figured it out it was ok. Cabin and amenities were great. Kids got in hot-tub each night. I used grill to cook burgers and hotdogs and it worked like it should.

Great weekend retreat!
We had an awesome siblings weekend (3 couples, mid-30s). Accommodations were great - nice big bedrooms and 3 full baths. We utilized the outdoor space including the outdoor dinning, fire pit, and hot tub. The home has everything you need to be comfortable and is close to Mohican State Park. One note: There were no board games or cards available so be prepared to bring your own.

Perfect getaway in the woods
We had a wonderful time with our three boys (7,4,2). We built fires, made s'mores and hung out and unplugged entirely. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The kids really enjoyed the game room and my oldest loved all of the books in the main area. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful cabin! Super clean and spacious. My family of 5 stayed here for my 40th birthday and it was amazing! The downstairs TV and game area were perfect for the kids and the adults could chat and talk upstairs. We loved the deck and hot tub. The fire pit looked great, but we didn't use because of the amount of snow. We only explored the woods around the cabin and went sledding, but we can't wait to come back another time to explore more of the area. We will definitely book this cabin again, no one wanted to leave! Luke is a wonderful owner! Thank you!

We had an absolutely amazing time in this cabin. The cabin was beautiful, clean and so welcoming. The owners were so kind and helpful, wish we could’ve stayed longer. Our children actually played outside, we told ghost stories at the campfire, warmed up in the hot tub and just had a great family time. If you’re looking to escape for some nice peaceful time this is the place for you and if you need a little city life it’s just a short drive away also.

We had a wonder stay the beds were very comfy! Super close to Mohican adventures. But the owner needs to specify that you need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the property. We had to call a tow truck for my friends car.

The property is quiet and relaxing inside in out. The fire pit was great for unwinding at night.
