Beautiful, comfortable and clean, the dock at the lake was so nice for fishing, swimming, relaxing. Great deck on the cabin to hang out..Just beautiful. Quiet and private but close enough to get out to area attractions.. highly recommend this place

Wonderful stay!

Came with my childhood friends to celebrate our 40th birthdays. It was the perfect little getaway, but was only about 45 min away from home for most of us. We enjoyed this clean cozy cabin, sipping coffee on the porch, soaking up the sun on the dock with our cold drinks and snacks, and s’mores by the fire. Bit of a hike back up from the dock, but it was good for us!

The house was great. Perfect for one or two couples. Nice dock on lake but we did not use on this trip. We came here to help a couple whose house had flooded in the big storm. House was clean and in order.

Great Cabin

This cottage/cabin is awesome. Knotty pine is special. Everything needed is there and it simply feels great. We stayed nine days and each day your eyes go up to the ceiling as you “take in” the interior. I could walk up the knotty pine stairs a hundred times and enjoy looking at it. Great view of the lake. We liked everything.

Watauga Getaway

Great experience! The location is remote but the house is modern and has nice amenities. We had one minor issue with the door lock and the property manager was there within 15 minutes. The lake is beautiful as advertised! If you’re looking to get away and find some peace and quiet in a beautiful rural setting, this place will deliver.

We only stayed the weekend but this little place had everything we needed. It's a very clean and cozy! Be forewarned that's a drive is steep up to the place but my Camry had no problems. The walk down to the lake is also steep so if you're out of shape you may not want to go down there LOL. It's very quiet and we rested perfectly each night.

Perfect size for us. My husband and adult son were there visiting family in the area. House was very well stocked and clean. Private dock is a good size. Fishing could have been better, wish we had had a boat. We saw fish jumping in deeper water. Lots of steps up to the house so you will get your exercise! Owner provided us with firewood for the fire pit (Thank you!!). House / beds very comfortable. I would stay again.

Great for Adults, tough for young children

The home itself is wonderful and clean with everything you need right there. It was so nice to have everything available to cook with and especially having the linens already provided. I would recommend this place for a fun adult trip or with older children. We had our 3 year old and it was tough getting to and from the dock on the lake walking a good ways down a steep hill and a long flight of steps to fish or canoe. We would definitely come back when he is older and can do more on his own. The view is beautiful and its very quiet. But if youre looking to do any activites outside of fishing or water related fun you'll have to go a good ways outside of town! Overall a lovely quiet and relaxing home that was very clean. Just be on stand by if you're outdoors on the property with very young kids.
