If you don't mind an older cabin that needs some repairs, then it's a great place to stay."

"We enjoyed our stay and the unlimited options for boating and fishing. It was nice to meet the owner in person. If you are looking for a small fishing cabin close (by boat) to the marina with the option to travel by boat miles and miles away, this is it! Handberg marina staff were very helpful and courteous. The views from the deck are relaxing, but be sure you can climb the hill to the cabin with your supplies. As some others have said, it is right by the big cabin but we still felt isolated enough."

"This hotel is gorgeous, as are the grounds. It was oddly empty though, both guests and staff. It feels like we were there at the wrong time of year or the wrong era. A bit dated in some ways, but it also feels like it was a top of the line resort at some point. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay."

"I don’t normally leave reviews but this place is outstanding and one of the nicest houses on Lake Vermilion! We traveled here with my entire family(12 people) and everyone was blown away. The kids loved playing on the private beach, swimming in the lake, playing pool and foosball in the rec room. We brought our fishing boat and also rented a pontoon for the week. The docking was great a fit both boats with ease. It was great to be able to wind down in the hot tub after a long day. From the wonderful kitchen to the fire table in 3 seasons room this place is truly a gem. So if your looking for a place to stay on Lake Vermilion this is the one you want!"

"Perfect lake cabin for a relaxing family getaway. We loved the location and the setting. We were even greeted by deer and a chipmunk upon arrival. We truly enjoyed our time here and I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the bunkhouse as a reading escape for a whole day or two."

"The property was overall clean and in good order when we arrived. Absolutely loved the view and location! Very comfortable inside and the space on the deck was very nice and relaxing. The hosts were very helpful and communicated well, we had no issues finding the property. My only issue and what bothered me the entire time was the walk up to the cabin. My understanding was there were stairs up to the cabin and the listing did not have a disclaimer or say anything about the trail leading to the stairs. The trail is put together with rocks and old treated timbers which all are very slippery when wet. The climb up was not an issue for me or my boy but my father is not as stable as he used to be and it made him and myself very nervous going up or down the trail. It's 90% trail 10% stairs. Please be aware and perhaps some pictures would be helpful when deciding if this is the right property for you. I would not have picked this property had I known about the trail. The dock was awesome I can tell it was just put in and it had power run to it so it was very nice because we were out fishing all day and needed to charge the batteries. Overall experience was good and I would recommend it to someone looking to get away and enjoy Vermillion, just be aware of the walk up."
