Four Points by Sheraton St. Catharines Niagara Suites
8/10 Good
"This has been my go-to accommodation choice in the Niagara Peninsula for decades, and it remains a clean, quiet, convenient place to stay if on business or holidays in the region, at a good price. However, during my trip last week I was told on descending to the lobby for breakfast at the restaurant that there was no a la carte service, only a $25 buffet breakfast. Since I only have coffee and toast for breakfast, this was a shock, and a strange way to treat guests. If you run a hotel, any decent hotel, you have to have a restaurant, and I've used that restaurant on countless occasions. I'm not certain that I want to return to this hotel again. I'm happy to use it if it has the right amenities, and one of those is a restaurant. I'll check prior to booking and see what happens. A great place is compromising its standards to its detriment."
