"Hotel was cute and as advertised, queen deluxe room was spacious and had an amazing soaking tub but some of the remodeling details of the suite are subpar. Minimal issues such as gaps in the entry door allowing light and sound from main hall, awkward bathroom layout, dirty exterior windows. We came during off/mud season so this may be why but staffing was super limited, bar closed early at 9 on a Saturday, breakfast was very limited (bagels and mini quiche), offered no drinks other than water/coffee and unattended to the point we had to alert staff an outlet circuit went out and food was cold / toaster not working. Common areas atmosphere was great and would have been a bonus if staying longer than one night. "

"I had been staying previously at a Fairfield Inn and I found the bed was much more comfortable and the towels much softer on the skin. Nice 2 night stay. Staff were very kind and helpful. Very busy place so make sure not to check in too late or you will get the room next to the ice machine."

This place has a location convenient to walking to downtown Stowe and to the walking path and plenty of restaurants. Very nice facility and friendly helpful staff. All at a reasonable price. "Room was very clean and nicely equipped. Upon checking in I was "upgraded" at no cost to a room in the main building. This was after I asked about safety of items locked and covered in my vehicle. One biggest complaint is that the doors to the outside were not locked at night. I have heard a lot about past troubles at the location UNDER DIFFERENT OWNERSHIP and think that increased security would help. According to local people I spoke with there are a group of people living at the hotel who are in care of Social Services. While I support offering this initiative, I also think that security should be important to all."
