Beautiful paradise with a large garden!

We stayed in the house for 1 week as a family. Everything was great. The hosts were very nice and always available. They gave us a warm welcome and gave us good insider tips. You can tell that the house has been in the same family for generations because it has so much history and you can feel the love for the place everywhere. The house and garden are beautiful and very clean. There was nothing missing in the house. The pool is large and beautiful. We also liked the surroundings. We will definitely be back! Thank you Annie and John for opening your paradise to strangers.

We had a wonderfull stay, very nice venu, well equipped kitchen, wonderfull collection of vinyl records and a very nice swimming pool. One needs to know that there is no air conditioning, so in the hot months the temperatures in the sleeping rooms are high. Very smooth and correct communication with the host.

What an amazing experience we had staying in Annie’s villa in the south of France! This is a beautiful private property with extensive gardens and a very welcoming pool area to either relax beside or take the plunge on those warmer days. We were thrilled to have a personal welcome by Annie and her husband John who made us feel at home straight away. Annie introduced us to the story behind this French provincial home and guided us personally with a very thorough introduction to the features of her home. We absolutely loved our week staying here and were able to easily explore nearby Calas for our food and fuel provisions. Over the week we were blessed with beautiful weather so we ventured further afield with day trips to Aix, Arles, Gordes, Senanque Abbey, The Camargue and of course the nearby hilltop town of Cabries. Annie provided very helpful information about parking and directions and was always available to answer any questions we had over the time we stayed.Annie was the perfect host and provided us with many tips, suggestions and advice to help us enjoy our wonderful week staying in her gorgeous home “La Recampada”. I would highly recommend anyone contemplating a holiday in the Aix-En-Provence region to strongly consider staying at this beautiful property!

Chez Annie et John. Traumhaftes altes Anwesen mit einem sehr schönen Garten und einem wunderschönen Pool. Wirklich alles da, was man braucht. Und den herzlichsten Gastgebern die uns in den letzten Jahrzehnten begegnet sind. Mit dem Auto sind die schönsten Strände und Städte innerhalb kürzester Zeit erreichbar. Wir haben direkt für das nächste Jahr gebucht.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung war ein einziger Traum. Das gepflegte Anwesen bietet alles um sich zu erholen. Wenn auch etwas altmodisch eingerichtet hat es sehr viel Charme. Der Pool im sehr weiträumigen und nur wenig einsichtbaren Garten hat uns bei 35 Grad beste Dienste geleistet. Die Lage zwischen Marseille, Mittelmeer und Aix bietet viele interessante Ausflugsziele in unmittelbarer Nähe.Wir werden wiederkommen.

Magnifique maison provençale

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans cette superbe maison! La piscine était vraiment superbe, le jardin fantastique, la literie au top! Il manque juste la climatisation pour les très grosses chaleurs qui ont pu parfois nous empêcher de dormir comme il faut. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter car en plus situé dans une super région avec encore de belles découvertes à faire! À très vite on l’espère!

Fantastischer Familienurlaub

Wir haben einen fantastischen zweiwöchigen Urlaub als Familie mit 3 Kindern bei Annie und Jon genießen dürfen. Das Anwesen verfügt über einen großes Grundstück mit eigener Auffahrt und Parkmöglichkeiten, einem großen Wohnhaus und einem riesigen neu renovierten Pool, in dem unserer Jüngster Schwimmen gelernt hat. Das Gelände ist umzäunt und angenehm verwinkelt, so dass die Kinder nach Herzenlust forschen und herumtoben konnten. Wir waren alleine dort, angrenzend finden sich wenige nur wenige Villen. Das Gelände ist weitgehend uneinsehbar. Die Vermieter wohnen nicht auf dem Grundstück. Die Villa findet sich gut gelegen zwischen Aix-en-Provence (20 min) und Marseille (30 min). Am Grundstück vorbei führt eine tagsüber recht gut befahrene Landstraße, die jedoch durch die zahlreichenden zirpenden Zikaden zumeist überdeckt wurde. Nachts haben wir die Straße nicht gehört. Wir hatten Fahrräder dabei und konnten im angrenzenden Dorf einkaufen und Essen gehen. Es gibt für französische Verhältnisse gut ausgezeichnete Radwege. Um die Ecke findet sich ein Trimm-Dich-Pfad. Im Haus haben wir nichts vermisst. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Bade- und Schlafzimmer waren sauber. Insgesamt ist das Haus liebevoll gestaltet und versprüht in Ausstattung und Zustand den Charme verschiedener Jahrzehnte. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von den Vermietern betreut. Wir wollten diesen herrlichen Ort nicht mehr verlassen und möchten sehr gerne wiederkommen.
