  • Welcome to Château Vieux d’Ancezune, an exceptional residence whose origins date back to the 12th century. Located in the heart of the historic village of Caderousse, between Orange and Avignon, this château has witnessed nearly nine centuries of history and still preserves all the charm of its medieval past.

    Formerly the residence of the Ancezune family, Lords of Caderousse, the château is believed to have welcomed several French monarchs throughout the centuries.

    Carefully restored, the château combines the authenticity of its stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and original wrought-iron features with modern comfort. Staying at Château d’Ancezune offers a unique experience in a place steeped in history, in the heart of Provence, just minutes from Orange, Avignon, and the renowned vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

    The highlight of the château is undoubtedly the Kings’ Hall, a majestic 72 m² reception room dominated by an impressive monumental fireplace, considered one of the most remarkable in Provence.

    According to local archives, several French monarchs are believed to have stayed here over the centuries, including King Francis I in 1524, King Henry III in 1575, and King Louis XIII in 1622.
