Casa Balto – Tropical Mountain Retreat in the South Caribbean

Casa Balto is located in Koo Namü, Puerto Viejo, Talamanca, on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, surrounded by the lush tropical nature of the South Caribbean.

It is an ideal place for guests looking for peace, privacy, and a closer connection with nature. The surrounding environment is rich in tropical vegetation and wildlife, and guests may encounter birds, monkeys, sloths, frogs, lizards, insects, and other animals that are part of this natural ecosystem.

Because the property is located in a genuine tropical environment, it is normal to encounter insects and small creatures. Snakes and other wildlife may also occasionally be present in the surrounding natural areas. If you or someone in your group is very uncomfortable with insects or tropical wildlife, this accommodation may not be the right choice for your stay.

The occasional presence of insects or wildlife that naturally belong to this environment should not automatically be considered a lack of cleanliness or maintenance. We make every effort to keep the house clean, comfortable, and well cared for while respecting the natural setting that makes this place special.

Access to the property is by a sloped gravel road, and a 4x4 vehicle is required. Guests without a suitable vehicle may arrange local tuk-tuk transportation for an additional cost, subject to availability.
