Calabogie Highlands Golf Resort

There were no on-site staff, though there were cleaning people. I only got check-ininstructions a few hours before I arrived so if someone from the unconnected Business in the same building weren’t there, which was a bar, to help me with Wi-Fi I might not have been able to get my instructions easily. The place was beautiful very clean. However, the bar had some not very good music in the evening until about 10 o’clock, and also the voices coming from that restaurant bar were clearly audible from my room. Sunday night it was not a problem but Monday night I was glad I only had the one more night to stay. They gave me earplugs with my amenities,which I didn’t understand until later monday evening.

We chose the hotel for 1) great location combined with 2) great price. After a very welcoming check-in at 10:30 (thank you Amine) we entered the 1st floor rooms off the outdoor parking lot with some trepidation but Room 124 was spacious and spotless - full kitchenette, storage, couch and coffee table, king size bed, full bath. Also a desktop computer and huge TV that we didn’t use. Little details like a makeup mirror, instant kettle, and reading lamps were appreciated. The complimentary breakfast offered at least twice what the average Hilton property provides. We didn’t use them but there is also a gym and laundry facilities. The only noise we heard over our 3 night stay were a few vehicles on Saturday night. We took advantage of luggage storage after checkout on our departure day and once again the front desk staff were kind and accommodating. It feels like a property that is managed well from the top down and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - now off to 4 nights in Montreal at 3 x the price 😁
