"Without a doubt Calhetas best place to stay and eat. Small boutique hotel with high quality food, service, rooms/ houses and a cliff top location second to none. Staff provide attentive but not obtrusive service. Really lovely place to stay. Imagine sitting amidst the vines, fruit veg and flower garden by the lavender edged pool watching the sunset with wine from their own vines before sampling their Michelin type taster menu. "We had a wonderful time here and can’t wait to go back! We spent 5 days here as part of our honeymoon and loved it. We spent our mornings out on tours and the hotel packed lunches for us to take with, and our afternoon by the pool sipping sangria. Can’t go wrong with that! It’s a very small resort but it made it that much better - laid back, quiet, good selection of food options for me that were gluten free, and friendly staff "

"Lovely time spent here. 4 nights. Super friendly staff. Very easy-going vibe. Rooms were quite small and did not have AC but were clean and simple enough. Overall very happy with the hotel and the small “parish” Jardim do Mar. super cute little town. Takes 15 mins to walk around the whole village. "

"The house is in a rural location and the views of the Atlantic are breathtaking. If you want to relax in peaceful surroundings, this is the place for you! Inside the house, the décor and furniture are traditional but there’s everything you need for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very effective, ensuring we slept well despite the high humidity. Furthermore, the kitchen is very well equipped and there are three bathrooms, each with a shower, which is incredibly convenient if you're staying as a larger group. We also found the house to be very clean throughout. The terrace and pool area are a real bonus. There's plenty of space and we spent a lot of time outside, making the most of the weather. Without a doubt, the terrace and pool area are the perfect place to spend your time.Our host, Emanuel, was communicative and friendly throughout our stay. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him and he was genuinely interested in our stay at his house. It really was a pleasure to meet him. If you're looking for a comfortable house in a rural Madeiran setting, my friends and I would recommend it without hesitation. For the price, you needn’t look any further!"
