This is an unbelievably elegant hotel for Belfast. With only eight large, well-appointed rooms, it is very much a boutique hotel. Parking is convenient, and the breakfasts (included) were tasty. We were ask about dietary constraints but forgot to note we dislike Eggs Benedict--another couple had the presence of mind to request scrambled eggs (wish we had thought to do so). Mattresses and toiletries are excellent, and the gas fireplace nicely compensates for the heat being turned off in summer. Noise transmission was not a problem, and the innkeeper and staff were attentive, and provided useful insights about local restaurants. A good reason to visit Belfast.

The hotel is lovely! Our room 203 was well appointed and spacious (living area, kitchen, dining table, separate bedroom and bath). The gas fireplace in the living room was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious. One can easily walk to restaurants, shops and the Harbor.
The only downside to the experience was some loud noises because of trash pick up/snowplowing. It was November and there was a small snow storm, the room backs up to a food coop. They plowed at 11 pm, 3:30am and then trash pick up at 5:30am. We would stay there again, however we might pick a different room if a storm was predicted.
We loved this place! We were given an upgrade on our room, it was almost like our own little apartment. We had to leave before breakfast was served, so the owners made us breakfast to take with us, it was delicious! We would definitely stay there again.
Our experience at the Belfast Inn was wonderful. Their attention to detail was very evident. The Inn is on Main St. making it the middle of town but quiet enough to feel awaybfrom it all. Parking is a breeze. The breakfast was superb.
The best part of the Inn are it’s owners and staff.
We will absolutely return.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights in the luxury of the Belfast Bay Inn. The attention to detail in our suite was wonderful. They thought of everything. The service was superb. We felt so pampered when our gourmet breakfast was delivered to our door each morning. If we needed anything they were so friendly and helpful. I didn't want to leave. It was sheer bliss!
We had a truly perfect stay at the Belfast Bay Inn. Inn owners Ed and Judy have attended to every detail. Our room was meticulously clean, beautifully appointed, comfortable in every way. The breakfast was delicious, delivered to our room and laid out for us in a most lovely and inviting way. The inn is quiet yet located right in the middle of quaint and wonderful shops and within walking distance of the bay where there is a wonderful pedestrian walkway. I surely hope to someday be able to return to this little paradise in Belfast.
We were in town for a wedding and found the Belfast Bay Inn to be perfectly situated. It was within easy walking distance of everything and the accommodations were excellent.
Belfast Bay Inn is the best B&B (and possibly hotel) my wife and I have ever stayed in. It is beautifully constructed?in fact, almost perfect. The rooms are enormous and impeccably clean. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and filling. This was a wonderful find for us and look forward to returning.
Quick visit to Maine for a wedding was made extra special by our stay at the Belfast Bay Inn. Our room was lovely, the beds divine, plush towels and lots of attention to detail through out. Eddie and Judy were most gracious. A real asset to Belfast.

Lovely spot, with beautifully appointed rooms. Far more upscale than the typical B&B. Hosts were most helpful and we hope to return. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic weekend, a seaside holiday or a comfortably relaxing getaway.
A delightful stay, with friendly and helpful hosts, at an outstanding B&B. The Belfast Bay Inn is a perfect choice for enjoying the Belfast, ME area and beyond. The Inn's amenities are exceptional, breakfast was excellent and Ed and Judy go out of their way to accommodate their guests. This Inn is highly recommended. You will be pleased with your stay.
What an enjoyable overnight stay we had at the Belfast Bay Inn! It was our first visit to Belfast and the little harbor town exceeded our expectations for shopping, dining and exploring! The Belfast Bay Inn was impeccable in every category. Gorgeous rooms with A amenities, the most comfortable beds and luxurious sheeting ever, a well-presented and delicious hot gourmet breakfast - the spinach and feta frittata was delicious! We chose to have our breakfast in the serenity of the courtyard amidst Judy's blossoms and with the morning sun on our shoulders! Heavenly! Judy and Ed have been in the hospitality business for years and their love for what they do is apparent in all the special details they provide their guests. We will be returning to the Belfast Bay Inn and staying for more than an overnight!
First time in Belfast. So glad we picked Belfast Bay Inn. Our room, 303, was like staying in an expensive penthouse! Absolutely beautiful. Hosts, Ed and Judy, were warm and so helpful. Will add this place to our yearly visit to Maine from Texas.
We spent a wonderful night recently at the Belfast Bay Inn. Everything was top-notch from the hospitality of the owners to the great attention to detail in the suites to a wonderful breakfast delivered to your door in the morning. We so enjoyed it and it was so perfectly located in Downtown Belfast. We look forward to returning again and again.
We recently stayed at the Belfast Bay Inn and we were happily surprised to find such wonderful accommodations there. The innkeepers are delightful and definitely know their business. Our suite was roomy and so tastefully appointed --it was a luxurious treat! And having a fabulous breakfast arrive at your door was the icing on the cake. We will return!
On a recent anniversary trip to Belfast, we made an excellent decision to stay at the Belfast Bay Inn which is within walking distance of the water, restaurants and stores. We were upgraded to their beautiful, large king suite which included an outstanding breakfast delivered to our room. The owners were delightful. We would highly recommend the inn.
My wife and I just spent 3 unforgettable days and nights at one of the most inviting, luxurious and beautiful inns we have ever had the good fortune to stay at. The Belfast Bay Inn in Belfast, Maine affords one the opportunity to be located in a charming small town on the coast of Maine while enjoying the comfort, elegance and exceptional service of the most expensive hotel in a big city here or in Europe. The owners, Judy and Ed have redone a building in the downtown of Belfast with an eye for architectural detail and an obvious sense of respect for the history of the area. They are most accommodating in every way and have the needs and comfort of their guests as their first priority. I can't recommend this inn highly enough for both elegant relaxation and value.
Absolutely beautiful accommodations. Suite 202 was amazingly serene and comfortable. No details have been missed. The innkeepers are very welcoming and accommodating. Be forewarned no breakfast is served during the winter months but the suites do provide you all the comforts of home, including the coop where all the ingredients for breakfast in can be purchased.
The Belfast Inn is in my opinion, the best place to stay in Maine. I have stayed at most of the highest rated small hotels and Inn in Maine and this is by far the best small hotel or Inn in the State of Maine. As impressive as they are, the website pics don't do it justice. There are lots of little touches to many to mention. We will be back! Thanks for a great experience, Dave & Deb
