If a restful holiday is part of your travel plans, Laite Memorial Beach might be the perfect place to visit during your trip to Camden. While you're in the area, stroll along the waterfront.
Sailboats glide across the harbour while hikers explore Mount Battie for panoramic views of Penobscot Bay. Book a windjammer cruise to see the rocky coastline, then explore the charming city centre shops and seafood restaurants.
Very cute little town with some good dining options but all the shops close at 5pm or 6pm so be aware if you think you're going to do some wandering around after dinner.

Camden is an adorable, walkable town with lots of sweet shops and restaurants. We were there at the end of January, and still lots to do.

I had visited Penobscot Bay/ Mid-Coast Maine years ago. It was still as interesting and nice as I recalled. We had really good food in several towns, but particularly at The Waterfront Restaurant in Camden.

We didn't have much time to explore, but the town is adorable and we can't wait to go back and spend more time. The restaurants looks great and we had one of the best meals at Cafe Louis.

"Beautifully decorated very comfortable room just a block from downtown with a good breakfast place (Villager) next door. We were on the 3rd floor but the check in clerk helped me schlep our bags up. Parked right out side the front door. Very good experience. "
"Clean and comfy suite. Couldn't have been better. Beautifully appointed apartment overlooking river with beautiful spacious bath with large shower and large soaking tub. So conveniently located and walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Ice cream shop right over the bridge. We hope to be back again next summer."
