Private Woodland Retreat. Sleeps 10 Near Greenville & Mountains

"The house has great space both indoor and outdoor, plenty of room for a large gathering. Clean and bright, comfortable beds and bedding and ample seating for lounging and eating. A bit of a drive to anything but that is to be expected for a 22-acre property. While the kitchen did have plenty in the way of utensils, plates, cookware, etc., there was not much in the way of paper goods (1 paper towel roll, 1 roll of TP per bathroom, and no napkins) and no cleaning supplies (no sponge for dishes, spray for counters or broom/vacuum to keep floors tidy)… might want to consider bringing or purchasing your own if that’s a priority. Only 1 small bath towel is provided per double occupancy room, so again, might want to bring extra. Owner does live on property and keeps an eye on the house and/or has cameras setup. My handicapped brother came to visit for the day with his service dog and I got a text five minutes after his arrival about the pet not being allowed inside. To the owners credit, once advised of the service dog status she let it be."

"We loved this little home! Was very clean and well put together. Had everything we needed. It was a pleasant 3 day. We came into town for a wedding and the distance to the venue was perfect! Love how open the big windows make the house feel. I loved sitting there each morning watching the ducks waddle around the yard and play in the lake while I had my morning coffee. I really wanted to go feed the ducks but I did not prepare for the downpour. We had the cutest greeter meet us soon as we arrived. Milo. He was waiting for us on the porch steps. He was right there ready to greet us every morning on the front porch. We look forward to visiting again! Highly recommend! Cheryl and Jeff were very kind and have a wonderful property. We also would like to recommend Stone soup restaurant! The wood fired pizza was so good. As a girl who can’t handle a lot of sauce they did it perfectly! They have indoor/outdoor seating available."

"Brecht House was perfect for our family to stay in during the week of our son’s wedding festivities. The house itself and location are lovely and our host, Kristen, was very helpful with information. The house itself is up to date and extremely clean with nice bed and bath linens. The kitchen has every item needed for a family to prepare snacks and meals. Kristen has provided many useful items throughout the house so that we were not running to the store for odds and ends. We would definitely stay here again."

"We had a wonderful stay! The property was quiet and peaceful, right on the lake with a beautiful view. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. There were lots of different gathering areas, making it easy to spend time together while still having space to spread out. The home was very well appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We got in later, after a long drive, so the snack basket was greatly appreciated.We would definitely stay here again!"
