We stayed at Casa Don Gustavo for the first time based on reviews and seeing it on You.Tube in a video about Campache. It is extremely convenient for touring around Campeche. The staff was outstanding from welcoming us, checking us in and showing us to our room. The servers for breakfast were also outstanding. Our room was very nice, comfortable and large. The bed was comfortable and the linens good. We had the necessary amenties for the bathroom which were good quality. I did suggest in a survey when checking out that the shower head needed some adjustment. Parking for the hotel is a bit of a walk but was not a problem. Calle 59, the Sea Gate and the Land Gate are all easy walks. The hotel is on Calle 59 where all of the local restaurants are located. I would recommend Casa Don Gustavo to those visiting Campeche.

The hotel is an old 19th Century, if not earlier, residence in the heart of the Spanish colonial city with only ten rooms, and a short walk from the malecon. It had charming courtyards and was absolutely magical. Room, staff, breakfast, room all up to first class international standards. A real treat in a really lovely Mexican city.
