Fabulous B & B!

From the moment we arrived to the time we left (4 days later), we felt welcomed and pampered. Each morning we were greeted with a 4-course breakfast that was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. The bacon was my favorite! Kathy and Joe were very helpful with information about the area and places to have dinner, etc. Our room was cozy and well appointed. I really appreciated that Kathy had not over decorated the room leaving little space for us to put our travel items. This happens in many B & B's. The location is a nice central location to view the Finger Lakes Area. We used it as home base for about 4 days. We would love to return again, but unfortunately we live in California and have other places to visit. Thanks Joe and Kathy!

A fantastic stay with excellent hosts

This is a great place to stay if you you want high quality hospitality and those personal touches. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was to die for. We were asked about dietary needs which isnt something you get staying at a chain hotel. Would highly recommend and will absolutely stay here again if in the area. Cannot find fault.

Our stay in the Honeymoom Suite

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the 1837 Cobblestone cottage last week. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast that Kathy served was out of this world. I really cant say enough wonderful things. I hope in the future I will have the pleasure to come back to visit. Signed Tim and Joanne

I want to go back!

Attending a wedding in Canadaigua, we opted to stay at the 1837, and that was a win. We picked it out based on web-reviews, and we were not dissappointed. The location is wonderful, common rooms and bedrooms nicely furnished, and a relaxing property. We were welcomed by the proprietor, and shown or room whch was wonderful. The highlight of our stay was to sit on the poirch in the evening sipping winde (bring your own as 1837 does not have a licence to serve alcohol), and the breakfast! The breakfast is an experience of its own. Check out 1837's Instagram account for pictures of what you can expect - it is a treat and a wonderful start on the day. I truly hope that our travels will take us through Canadaigua once more in the future and we will be sure to stay at the 1837.

Anniversary Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend at the Cobblestone Cottage. Our host Kathy was just a pleasure to be around. We had wonderful conversation exchanging stories and the breakfasts were the best I had in years. She told us about the ingredients used and how they were prepared. Can't say enough about the pleasant time we had.

Fall great away

What a fabulous time we had on our girl trip. This inn is absolutely fabulous. Two days stay was not enough. If you are thinking about this area, do not miss this fabulous find

Fantastic stay

We were so impressed with this B & B. The décor, the fantastic breakfasts, the hosts and all the little amenities made this a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay. Would definitely stay here again when back in the area, and would highly recommend it.

B&B perfection!

Spent a long weekend and cannot say enough about the owners and the home they opened to us! The room was quite large, spotless and had every amenity to insure our pleasure and comfort. From a gorgeous bath, grand bed, and fireplace,to private areas to relax, we were very at ease the moment we arrived! The breakfast was nothing short of incredible and home cooked! All 4 courses! The owners were warm, easy to chat with and made us feel like we had been friends for years. Would highly recommend visiting there, to anyone and will surely be going there again!

Absolutely the very best B & B ever! Loved it

Everything was beyond my expectations. So very clean and well decorated. The owners Joe and Kathy were so welcoming. The porch was so inviting and calming. Can't wait to visit again with my husband. Breakfast was super and presentation excellent.

Bring appetite!

We stayed at this B&B since there are not any notable hotels in the area. The rooms are in an isolated area from the rest of the house, comfortable, and good size. There was not a speck of dust in the whole house. The fixtures are dated, as expected for a house built much earlier. The only problem was the owner serves these huge breakfasts that are culinary delights. We are older and simply cannot as much as anymore. These are four course meals. (We even stole a muffin for lunch.) The owner is very hospitable, attentive to all needs.

Truly a slice of heaven. Beautiful area, accommodations and attention to detail. Host and Hostess go out of their way to make sure our stay was above and beyond. Highly recommend the Cobblestone Cottage!

Excellent B&B, lovely host and outstanding, special breakfast

We had a great stay and seldom had a so different and outstanding breakfast with very high quality food. The host was very nice and helpful too. To stay at Cobblestone Inn is a very nice treat to yourself. Only drawback for us where too soft mattresses and a bit noisy window unit AC's. Otherwise a great place to stay in the finger lake area.

Just incredible

Like most B&Bs, they are extremely friendly and really seem to enjoy running a B&B. It has great character, is very comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. It came out in courses, and could have been prepared by trained chef. That was quite an experience! If you just want some breakfast munchies, and to be left to yourself, I would let them know ahead of time, and I'm sure they would accommodate. The location is quite private and has ample parking. It is a 3 minute drive to get to Main St shopping, or the Wine and Culinary Center. It could also be a short bike ride. It is possible to walk, but if you have other travel means, I'd do that. It is nice and quiet, board games are available, as are water bottles, snacks, and a small refrigerator. We enjoyed our stay, and we would certainly go back again.

This was our first time staying and a B&B and thanks to Joe and Kathy it was an incredible experience. They have a beautiful and clean house and make you feel very welcome. We are already planning our next visit.

A fantastic place to stay.. We loved it!!!!

The porch and whole house is so inviting and comfortable. There is a fireplace in EVERY ROOM, bedrooms, common area, dining area. Its amazing. The house is amazing. Also the host Kathy was so incredibly nice and friendly.. not to mention an amazing breakfast cook! We stayed in the attic suite which was perfect. It is very large and beautifully decorated. On our stay we were the only guests which was nice in a way. We had all the common areas to ourselves so in the morning I came down in the plush robe left for us to use and sat on the porch having my tea one morning and also after a shower one night came down and sat in the TV room watching TV with my husband. It was like I was at home. Every morning I woke to the smell of some fantastic meal being cooked for us. Both mornings we had amazing meals that kept us full all day. Other B&B's I stayed at did not serve as much food as Kathy does. It was a nice treat for my husband and I. Another thing I loved it breakfast was served at 9am! That was a perfect time, it gives you time to sleep in if you want, get ready in the morning without getting up super early or just relax for a little while with your coffee or tea before eating. The views from the house were nice. You can see the lake from the front porch and the bedroom windows of the room we were in. The whole house is beautifully decorated. Kathy leaves you little treats in different rooms. One room had candy and another bags of chip type snacks PLUS you get the afternoon cookies.. Also I never walk around anywhere that we travel barefooted but this home was so clean that I did. My husband even commented about this to Kathy. The bed was so comfortable that we did not want to get out of it. We watched TV one evening in bed and just relaxed and dozed off an on for hours. It was a relaxing escape that was just perfect. There was not one thing I would change about this trip other to have added an additional night!!

Gorgeous, Well Located B&B on best Finger Lake

Our room (the "attic" room) was spacious and well appointed. The main areas are super comfy and inviting with porches and living room spaces to relax in. The breakfast was outstanding (although a bit too caloric and sweet for our tastes on a more than one night visit). The owners were super nice and helpful.
