Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
The host was unresponsive to my multiple emails, had to get VRBO staff to call. Host would not take their call either, but at least was prompted into finally providing actual address to the unit. Check in time was 3 pm, but I arrived around 2:30pm. The unit was uninhabitable. Host had a crew of 5 working in it, mounting the tv, fixing the bathroom, cleaning floors. The listing’s photos were a total misrepresentation of the unit status. Wi-fi was not working, even though I had stressed this was vital due to work Zoom meetings to be held that same day. Called VRBO and forwarded photos of what was happening. VRBO enforced their guarantee and I booked another property. At my arrival, VRBO agent said they were told by host that “unit was now ready”, which was untrue, as I verified wi-fi availability before leaving and it wasn’t working, there was no mattress, no linens or towels, and it didn’t seem the a/c was functional. I did not see any curtains or shades on windows. Didn’t test for hot water, but at that point there were so many falsehoods, lack of professionalism and delays that I refused to take any more risks. I would never book the property again.
