"The room was bright and roomy with a funky charm. Since it was a pet-friendly room I wasn't alarmed to see a few carpet stains, but we did not want to be barefoot. I might have missed reading it somewhere, but it wasn't clear to me that there was coffee service in the check-in building in the mornings. I would book with them again."

"Location! Location! Location! This is THE picturesque place to be. We brought our grandmother and she savored the beach through the sunroom. It was a dream come true to stay there at 89 years old!One article calls the home a cabin, and that description fits the floor-to-ceiling wood effect. The drawers and cabinets are full of mismatched plates and silverware — it’s easy to imagine a large family gathering around the massive log table. Pictures show the family gathering over the years. One member of our party described the place as well loved. There are some handyman projects that could have made our stay smoother. And by the time we stayed in late August, the house needed a deep cleaning (dust on molding and door frames; crumbs in kitchen drawers and cabinets). However, the appliances are all updated and very nice. And the cleaners had the rooms cleaned and ready for us. My children loved the proximity to the beach. But the owners are fighting a policy and public opinion battle about dunes encroaching. There is a large sign on the house and another sign at the edge of the property (on 10 feet of sand that has covered their wall)We were sad to leave— the house felt like home after a week."

"Really clean comfortable place, excellent location, 2 min walk across road to beach, nice little porch to sit on too. Gave us chairs to sit on at the beach & you could borrow bikes to get around but it was only 5 min walk either way to lovely little shops & eating/drinking places."

"Absolutely amazing. Exceptionally clean. For an older property, it was immaculate. It had old charm with modern conveniences. Great views and access to the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will return. I can not imagine. Better place to stay. Kitchen was clean and well stocked. Room was warm. Bed was comfortable and linens were nice. Comfy pillows too. We had a perfect get away. Staff informed us of low and high tide. Gave us great information for beach fires, sunsets and tide pools."
