"Jardin Entre Montanas was simply amazing! Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the whole family. The gardens are stunning and our little cabin had everything we needed and was so secluded. Luzbeth made the most delicious breakfasts with juices made of fruit from their property and food from local farmers. Alejandro always made sure we were well taken care of. Alfredo gave us nightly tours in his gardens which are an oasis for many animals. His enthusiasm was so much fun. Alfredo is also musical and graced us with guitar music. The location was great being just a couple of minutes from town central. We also ate at Yeye's which is down the road and it was phenominal. I highly recommend staying at Jardin Entre Montanas. If you can, stay more than one night and get to know this wonderful family."

"Great little homebase for Bijagua area. Not walkable to anywhere, but only a five minute drive into the town. Probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed in my life. Air conditioning worked great. Very friendly. "

"Staying in this VRBO was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed at!! The home itself overlooks Lake Arenal, and is surrounded by a tropical rain forest. Each morning two amazing toucans would be in the tree right beside the balcony. We watched them eat, and we were able to get beautiful pictures of them. Many other birds and critters also were sighted from the balcony. The house itself is a work of art built over 25 years by the owner himself. Each morning we feasted on a fabulous full breakfast (included in the price), made by Mar and another young woman. They made us fruit smoothies, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruits- really- a scrumptious feast! They also cleaned the house each day. Patrick was so helpful in helping us choose and reserve the activities we did each day. (Plus he would make sure the hot tub was heated by the time we returned.) It was a pleasure to talk with him and learn about the area. Each evening we all enjoyed the common living area where we read, some watched football, worked on a puzzle, etc. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for a longer time! We hope to return someday."

"I can't say enough wonderful things about this property! All I kept saying to the staff was that the photos and descriptions on the internet didn't do it justice! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, it was like being transported to a magical garden land or something! I loved the property so much that I actually cancelled my full day excursion so I could have more time at the property. Everything is clean, well-taken care of, the food is delicious, and the staff and owner are so friendly and helpful! It's a wonderful place to relax, unwind, enjoy a beautiful view, and truly disconnect! If you have a lot of activities planned in La Fortuna, allow for about an hour to an hour and a half of drive time to get from Hotel Mystica into town. "

"From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the owners, Flory and Manuel, made me feel completely at home. Flory’s kindness stood out when she offered me fresh tea leaves to soothe a stomachache, a thoughtful gesture I’ll never forget. Manuel added to the magic by pointing out howler monkeys in the trees, a sight that felt straight out of a nature documentary. Angie went above and beyond, taking me on a walk across the property in search of sloths. We found not just one, but two, including a mother with her baby. The wildlife here is incredible: toucans, great-tailed grackles, and butterflies in vibrant colors graced the property, making every moment feel like a nature adventure. Breakfast was another highlight. Each morning, I looked forward to a delicious meal paired with fresh juice. The bungalows themselves are clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Agutipaca Bungalows is, without a doubt, one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to my favorite people, confident they’ll return with their own unforgettable experiences. Lauralee "
