An amazing home in Canon City! One of the best VRBO's we have stayed in. It was perfect for our family gathering. It had all we needed including comfortable beds and a nice porch :). Highly recommend!
My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house is very spacious. The front porch was a great place to drink our coffee in the mornings. The beds were very nice. Everyone slept well.
The property was beautiful! It was too bad we had so many other things going on because the home is one where you want to just sit and relax and read a book. In the mornings I would go read my Bible on the porch and there was a stag that would be nesting in the corner of the lawn. Amazing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with our kids/grandkids in this beautiful house that was built in 1901. The kitchen and bathrooms have been remodeled to current styles and standards. The stained-glass windows at the base of the stairs are nicely backlit for photos. The large porch is a nice place to relax in this quiet neighborhood. The only issue we had was finding a contact person. The number given is at the Royal Gorge Route Railroad (who owns the house) and one always has to leave a message and hope someone calls back. Once I got a contact via Vrbo, I was able to get questions answered easily.
Amazing property with everything you need and so many nice extras. Jerrene was so great and very responsive to all our questions. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely do it again!
We celebrated Thanksgiving in this beautiful, cozy, spacious home in Canon City. The kitchen was well equipped to handle the big dinner prep and the formal dining room helped give our meal together a special feeling. Entirely through our own mistake we managed to lock ourselves out of the house. The property manager arrived within 10 minutes of my call and was cheerful and helpful about getting us back in the house, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks for a great stay!
It was a reunion of seven high school friends and we fell in love with the house. Everything was perfect, right down to the big buck in the front yard.
Wonderful property. The entire family absolutely loved it. It was so nice to finally stay in a home with a fully stocked kitchen. Thank you for having multiple pots and pans and cooking utensils!! This beautiful home fit our every need. The deer that visited us only added to the magic.
Loved everything about this property! Quaint, comfortable, lots of space for everyone, grounds were perfect. We loved our stay here! It’s hands down the best property in town.
This beautiful, historic home was the perfect place for us to enjoy our time in Canon City. It's location is away from the typical tourist areas. Morning traffic noise was occasional, but we're early risers, so not a problem. Our host was excellent in thoughtful touches & anything needed while yhere.
This was such a beautiful home. It was clean, spacious and gave us the old charm, yet with no weird smells or the feeling of being haunted, haha. The deco respected the historical feel of the home, without being overly Victorian (which, frankly, kind of ruins some places for us.) Deer were literally walking around the yard as we enjoyed the patio. we comfortably housed eight people easily. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces. We all commented on how we are definitely coming back!!
Great house, plenty of room for the 7 of us. Only issue is only 1 TV for entire residence.

Absolutely lovely.
From the moment we drove up, this property was clearly a one-of-a-kind rental in the Canon City area. Meticulously cared for and maintained inside and out. Roomy and beautifully furnished, it was perfect for our family gathering. Thank you for hosting us!
The property was not really within walking distance of downtown area. Beautiful house but we went at Christmas time and they had no decorations. I realize they probably worry about offending someone but I don’t think garland on the fireplace mantels or a fake poinsettia here or there would have been an issue. It would have been nice if they had some box games for kids or families to play while staying there. Ok for a night or two.
Couldn’t stay due to lack of communication with the property manager
I traveled with my kids and husband from N.C. to spend Thanksgiving weekend and one of our stops was Cañon city to ride the Royal Gorge train , we arrived Tuesday mid day and didn’t received the code to enter the house , i emailed and called property manager 6 hours before check in time prior to 4pm and couldn’t get her to responded, I called VRBO for assistance and they couldn’t get her on the phone either , at this point it was around 6 pm and I was with my family , since there was none response we decided to drive back to Denver and stayed at a hotel .it was a horrible experience and more over so inconvenience for our trip .
Very sad , I am still waiting for a refund since we didn’t get to stay .
