We had a lovely time at the Sunshine Casita. If you’re planning to cook, like we were, the kitchen utensils/equipment was a bit lacking…I.e: no can opener, wine opener, spatulas, etc. Other than that we enjoyed it. The decor is darling and don’t miss the beautiful sunrise.

We and our kids loved it. Had to book for our return trip.

We really enjoyed our stay. We stopped on the way to Colorado. Our kids requested us to stay again on the return trip. The beds were comfy and the place was very relaxing.

Peaceful one-nighter

Great little house a short drive south of Amarillo. Had everything you need. Safe area, lovely sunrise, just delightful. We stayed here for a night on our way north. We will definitely stay here again.

Sibling trip stay

Stayed overnight on our way back from a sibling trip. My brother enjoyed watching the sunrise, it was a very peaceful location. Welcoming decor and a great vibe. Just what we needed to help us along our way. A great place indeed!

Close to WTAMU!

Perfect for parents/ grandparents staying to visit college students. Distance to WTAMU campus made visit very easy. Communication with owner and ease of checking in and out was very helpful. Comfortable, cozy, and had all the ammenities. Thank you!

West Texas Experience

We really enjoyed this nice, comfy home. It helped that there was a washer and dryer, because we had just picked our two grandkids up from church camp, on our way to Colorado and their clothes needed a good washing! Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to be away from he hustle and bustle of the city.

Clean Exploration

Our 11 month old little boy had the BEST time exploring and checking out this new and exciting space! The floors were so clean and it was perfect for him! There was even a pack n play for our naps and bed time! Loved it!!

Amazing place!

This was the best rental we have ever stayed in. The host had thought of everything to make the place functional and comfy, plus it looked like it was out of a magazine! Absolutely adorable while also being like a home away from home. We stayed a few nights on our west Texas road trip and visited Palo Duro and Calrock Canyon. This house was convenient to both and also to the cute town of Canton where we found good food and fun stores. Would highly recommend this one!

Good times

Clean and comfortable. Just what we were looking for, to get away from Dallas. Palo Duro was shut down due to rain. So we improvised in Canyon. Saw a show at the university. Hiked at Cap Rock instead. Watched the cows and a jackrabbit from the back porch. We would stay here again.

A Hidden Gem

Sunshine Casita is a hidden gem in Canyon. It was such a wonderful place to stop on our trip. The house was clean and had all the things that one would need. The back porch has a swing that allows you to sit at night and look at the stars. We spent a few hours out there listening to music, watched a storm move through and then enjoyed the stars. We will definitely be back!

Sunshine Casita-Delightful!

Four adults with an old dog. Stayed four nights over a long weekend. It’s a delightful accommodation. Perfect for a trip to Canyon, Texas-close to the city and Palo Duro Canyon State Park but out far enough to be relaxing and quiet. Very clean, delightful, colorful decor, comfortable furniture and well-appointed. Communication with the host was easy and responsive. Highly recommend.

Perfect stay! Such an adorable property and we were greeted with cookies and beautiful deer in the yard. We loved every minute. The town is adorable and there are so many great places to visit nearby.

My sweet wife loved the bed, bathroom, and the back porch. We've stayed in 5 other properties during this trip and this one is hands down the BEST! Beautiful, clean, cozy, comfortable, AND convenient. Will try to stay here again in the future.

We had a good experience at Sunshine Casita. It is a quiet area and close to Palo Dura Canyon. We were there to see the canyon but found the town of Canyon quaint. The Casita was clean, nicely decorated and had all amenities listed. We loved sitting on the back porch swing watching the sunrise and late afternoon relaxing after a long day of hiking.
