The Aoudad Cabin at Palo Duro

The Aoudad Cabin is a family-friendly, one-bedroom, one-bath cabin rental with a sleeping loft that can accommodate up to six people.

It is furnished with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a futon couch that folds out into a full-sized bed in the living room, and twin mattresses in the sleeping loft. It also has a sofa and Roku TV.

There is a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, microwave, and coffeemaker, and an outdoor deck with a gas grill. It has ample A/C and heating units.

Perfect retreat location

The location is great. The place is well-kept, lots of nice amenities and touches. Easy check-in for novice VRBO-ers. Great location for hiking and nature then coming back to relax. Just perfect!

Wonderful trip to Palo Duro

We had an amazing trip to Palo Duro canyon. The cabin is less than 2 miles from the park entrance and very convenient. It's a quiet area and we enjoyed our nightly visits from the longhorns and aoudad sheep who grazed just on the other side of the fence from our porch.

Great location

The cabin was all we expected, clean, comfortable and fun! Can't beat the location less than 10 minutes to the park main entrance which makes it very convenient. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It is at the perfect location, right next to the entrance to Palo Duro State Park. The kids enjoyed the sleeping loft, and it was lovely to have a place to come home to to relax from hiking at the park. Plus, you get a wonderful view of the sunrise! Would highly recommend!

Comfortable and clean

We’ve stayed at this cabin twice now and it’s been clean and comfortable both times with a great location next to Palo Duro. We had a delicious coffee at Sad Monkey Mercantile located behind the cabins.

Love this cabin

The Apudad cabin was a wonderful place to stay. It was isolated enough yet near people. We enjoyed the porch every morning and every evening. Our “neighbors” were longhorn cattle and kittens. Palo Duro Canyon is only 1.5 miles from the cabin and a beautiful place to visit.

Lovely scenery! Friendly owners. Cabin had all we needed for our stay. Our only negative on our stay was out the front door overlooking the pasture in front of the porch is alot of building debris from a fallen out building. It would have been a much prettier view without it there. We did find some dirty laundry inside the couch fold out bed and some personal hygiene products upstairs in the loft. We left those items where they were found.

Aoudad cabin

If you're looking for simple, affordable, and convenient to the canyon it's a great place. Nice layout on the outside. There's a bunch of games around the place. It's right next door to a really neat little gift shop and convenience store.

We enjoyed the cabin very much along with the scenic area, wildlife and longhorns. The price of the cabin was perfect but the add on fees were rediculous.

The perfect getaway

This property couldn’t have been better in my opinion. My daughter loved the loft, my dad slept on the futon, and my husband and I took the bed. Plenty of blankets and towels, the host was great with communication and made checkin a breeze. Absolutely pleased with our stay and highly recommend. You’re located very close to the canyon and just a short drive from town, very quiet property and really enjoyed watching the sunrise from our deck every morning.
