"It was a nice place to stay on our trip along the Cabot Trail. The room was clean, but dated. The grounds were lovely and it was close to good food."

"The hotel is a bit run down, peeling wallpaper at the front desk doesn’t make it look like it’s maintained. The bathroom tiles and bath area in the room is badly stained and needs an update. The air conditioner was noisy and set so low that our room was freezing when we first arrived. We were unable to get the temperature up to a comfortable level so we just turned the whole unit off. But the beds are comfortable and it was reasonably quiet so we had a good sleep. Breakfast was ok. The breakfast room was packed all morning so the 2 ladies who were working had a bit of a hard time keeping the food supplied but they did pretty well and were very friendly. It would have been nice if the breakfast could have been served past 9:30. Parking was great."
