"We absolutely loved our stay at Matlacha on Shoreview! Tucked away and wonderfully quiet, it felt like a true off-the-beaten-path retreat. The staff went above and beyond—so friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the complimentary kayaks for exploring the water and really appreciated having laundry facilities available during our stay. A special highlight was the Memorial Day reception with delicious snacks and beverages—it was such a thoughtful touch that made the holiday feel extra special. This place is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!"

The dock was perfect for the fishing lovers in our group.A few small suggestions:• The listing mentions a pier within walking distance, but it’s no longer there due to a hurricane, so that could use an update.• Essentials like toilet paper and dish soap were limited, so bring a few basics just in case.• We had 7 guests but only 6 towels would recommend having at least one per person.Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable place. We’d definitely come back"
