Garden Cottage in tranquil leafy Constantia with Solar backup

Pool Access is during 10:00 - 17:00 Mon - Fri; and by arrangement for other times of the day / weekend.
Christmas Day & Boxing Day - the pool is closed for guests

We live in a tranquil and rural neighbourhood, a very quiet nook of Constantia; walking distance to Groot Constantia vineyards, a few mins drive to Klein Constantia and Buitenverwatching Wine Farms & grocery shops.

Our cosy self catering Cottage is open plan comprising of a bedroom, en-suite bathroom & living room with a fire place (woodburner). The living room looks out onto our vegetable garden where you will find the patio table & chairs. The cottage does not face the pool or our main garden.

Relax & enjoy this tranquil space; looking up to the stars from your bed; reading by the pool or just listening to the birds, you will be away from the hustle & bustle of the city; a home away from home.

Our Cottage comfortably sleeps 2. With the sofa bed (in living area) which can sleep an additional 2 children. The cottage is open plan & as the bathroom is off the bedroom, the cottage would suit a family & not 2 couples.
Floor mattress, cot & high chair available on request.

We have Solar panels with a back up battery - you should not be affected during load shedding.

We have an additional listing on our property; our Guest Suite which sleeps up to 3 (Queen bed & sofa bed opening up to an extra length 3/4 bed).

Although we offer self check in; as we live on the property, we are available most of the time. Unless it is late hours, or we can not be there, we will greet you and show you around.

The cottage has double glazed windows so warm in winter and cool in summer; a skylight over the bed, allowing you to watch the stars should you wish or to close the blind (block out fabric)

There is off street secure parking behind a remote controlled gate. We also have extra security - CCTV cameras (exterior to the Cottage at various locations)

Our family home swimming pool, fountain & pond do not have safety nets or fencing. We are very happy to have children stay if you are comfortable with the above - please contact us should you require more information.

Complementary - Emptying of bins and cleaning once a week
Linen and towels will be changed every 5-7 days depending on length of stay.

We also provide a welcome pack which includes some breakfast goodies; this will be in the cottage on arrival.

Tea and coffee are provided, along with condiments including homemade jam, honey, olive oil etc. Fresh eggs from our chickens are available to buy (if our hens are laying well).

Continental type breakfast can be provided (either as a room service or set up outside your cottage) for an additional cost.

There is a cafe table & chairs (with umbrella) outside the Cottage, nestled in the vegetable garden. This is a secluded area for you to enjoy. You can relax here or under an umbrella by the pool; alternatively lay on sun loungers to soak up some sun.

Please note - the Cottage does not look on to the pool area.

We hope you will enjoy being in our peaceful garden. As we live on the property, you would be sharing the swimming pool and main garden areas with our family and other guests.

The swimming pool and main garden are situated on the other side of our main house to the Cottage. To access these areas you would need to walk around the main house.

Weber barbecue/braai is available to use.

Our home is cleaned using natural, eco friendly and biodegradable products, we recycle where ever possible and, in the garden, & try to promote a natural ecosystem.

We have 2 very friendly dogs who may occasionally say hello and we also have chickens in the garden. If you would prefer not to be disturbed by the dogs, please let us know.

The pool is not deep and for your safety, diving is not recommended.i
