AC Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Waterfront
"I want to mention a fine young man who assisted me throughout my stay. Adil was super"
Taj Cape Town
"Good stay at Taj Cape Town. Excellent breakfast at Mint. Stayed in a suite. Great view of the mountain. Good bathroom size. Enjoyed the facilities. Only downside was that they didn't make up our room the one day. Called Housekeeping when we got back at 16h30. After a second call, they only sent someone at 18h30. This was a major downer. Expected better service than this."
Holiday Inn Express Cape Town City-Centre by IHG
"Great full breakfast, terrific staff and convenient location. Bathroom renovations ongoing, which did not impact us except for that our room had been renovated and shower still leaked onto floor."
Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport
"Love this hotel so close to the airport, with amazing friendly and helpful staff"
Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa
"Convince and helpful staff"
ONOMO Hotel Waterfront
"Ideally situated, close to the Waterfront and surprisingly reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay and have a firsthand understanding why their breakfasts are legendary!"
Hotel Sky Cape Town
"Hotel Sky - we loved it. We stayed in a bunk room as there were 4 of us. Not big but has surprisingly enough space as you can slide your bags under the bed and there are charging ports and closet space for each bunk bed. It has 2 showers and a bathroom. Coffee machine is outside but it’s a good wired machine with multiple options , grind and serve. 1000 percent better coffee than what you’d make in your room. 15 min walk to the V&A waterfront and close to airport. Restaurant food is great. Gym decent reception efficient. Interior decor outside of rooms is unique."
City Lodge Hotel Victoria And Alfred Waterfront
"Happy all round, will book with them again"
The Rockefeller Hotel by NEWMARK
"Very friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to make this a wonderful stay. We got early check-in and our room was nice."

Cape Town Beach Travel Guide
South Africa’s mother city, Cape Town manages to mix a bustling city with laid-back beach vibes. Best known for the iconic Table Mountain, one of the seven wonders of the world, thousands visit the city every year just to climb atop of it or get their perfect shot of the mountain. For travellers, it is an accessible city with airports, steady public transport system and taxis.
Beach Hotels in Cape Town
Like most large cities of the world, Cape Town has no shortage of hotels to suit every budget. From high-rise extravagant hotels to basic low-budget hotels, you will not have any trouble finding the right hotel in this city. When it comes to beach hotels, you will also be spoilt with incredible views from some and, should there not be a view, there is always the option of choosing a hotel that has the beach on its doorstep.
Beach Activities in Cape Town
With its vast diversity when it comes to culture, food and landscape, Cape Town is an exciting beachside city to be in.
For those looking for an active holiday then this is a good place to have one. The city has a number of beach activities to make the most out of, including surfing and volleyball. There is also the possibility of hiking to the top of Table Mountain; or abseiling to the bottom of it.
Beyond the city is then the Cape Peninsula, where vineyards and more epic scenery can be found. Take a day trip or plan a few nights away at a vineyard to soak up the very best of South African wine. Stellenbosch is probably the most well-known and within this area can be found popular and lesser-known wineries. Why not treat yourself to a night away somewhere like Franschhoek, a quaint and idyllic location that has some of the most magnificent vineyards close by and views that are to die for.
Beach Restaurants and Bars in Cape Town
Cape Town is, of course, well primed for good food and drink. Home to some of the world’s most incredible vineyards, you will be overwhelmed by the choice of wines to sample. When it comes to food, the South African love a good barbecue (or Braai as it’s locally known). Venture to one of the city’s classic Braai restaurants for a classic meat-filled meal. There are also some great vegetarian and seafood restaurants in the city if meat is not your thing. Visit Bree Street, one of the city’s hippest and most diverse streets when it comes to food selection and cool places to hang out in the evening.
