The Perfect Option in Cape Town

We had a great time at Villa Surprise. A very good price for a beautiful place in a beautiful neighbourhood. We had the "Beach Room," which had a fun theme and best of all a huge private balcony overlooking the ocean. Camps Bay is the perfect neighbourhood. It feels like a beach town, but it's only 10-15 minutes from downtown/V&A, or 15 minutes the other direction to Hout Bay. Linzi is very nice and is happy to give you lots of recommendations for whatever you want to do!

great little place for a short stay

Each room has its own character, the views are great, location excellent, gardens and pool are lovely and the customer service is great, with breakfast and an honesty bar etc. (its up steep hill/steps if you are walking)

Detta lilla mysiga hotell kan jag varmt rekommendera. Bra frukost, ligger fem minuters gångväg från huvudgatan i Camps Bay. Personalen så service minded, helt fantastiska.

A mixed bag

Lindsi and her helpfulness as well as the cooked-to-order breakfast highlight this somewhat funky hotel. The location in Camps Bay is good, but you need to be in pretty good shape to make the trek down to town and the beach and back. Of course there's always Uber. The bed, advertised as a queen, was actually 2 separate twins that couldn't be joined and not all that comfortable.

Reasonably priced, great location

Really great location - 5 minutes walk from the beach. I stayed in the Italian room which had a lovely balcony and a brilliant view.

This is where to stay when in camps bay!

Amazing location, only a few minutes walk from the stunning camps bay strip, apartments were fresh modern and cosy. A real gem in camps bay! Highly recommended!

Hotel acogedor y con encanto

Solamente puedo decir cosas buenas del hotel y de su personal. El hotel es tranquilo, acogedor, bonito. Está en una zona residencial muy bonita y segura, a solo un paseo de una playa preciosa. Hay de todo cerca, supermercado, restaurantes, información turística. Y del personal del hotel solamente puedo decir GRACIAS. No pudieron portarse mejor conmigo, Linzi me ayudó en todo lo que necesité (y necesité muchas cosas teniendo en cuenta que mi inglés no estaba en su mejor momento). Lo recomiendo 100%!! I can only say good things about the hotel and its staff. The hotel is quiet, cozy, nice. It is in a very nice and safe residential area, just a short walk from a beautiful beach. There is everything nearby, supermarket, restaurants, tourist information. And the hotel staff can only say THANK YOU. They could not be better with me, Linzi helped me in everything I needed (and I needed a lot of things considering my English was not at its best). I recommend it 100%, no doubt!

Just the right place!

I'm very satisfied with Villa Surprise. It's just the type of guest house I was looking for: homely and quite spacious (room and garden); very pleasant and helpful staff and owner and a perfect location away from the hubbub of beach road Camps Bay. The rooms have a lot of character, which is no bad thing in these days of increasing uniformity. Breakfast was good, with cooked breakfast available. The only thing I would suggest is a small fridge in the rooms, to keep one's own food purchases cool and fresh.

Individuelles Guesthouse

Unser Aufenthalt im Guesthouse diente zur Entspannung nach einer Rundreise. Das Guesthouse ist mit sechs individuell gestalteten Zimmern ausgestattet und hat einen schönen Garten. Der Frühstücksraum ist in einem Wintergarten gelegen, allerdings - wenn alle Gäste gleichzeitig zum Frühstück kommen würden - etwas zu klein. Bei schönem Wetter kann man draußen im nett gestalteten Garten frühstücken (auch hier reichen die Tische beim gleichzeitigen Erscheinen der Gäste nicht aus). Das Frühstück selbst war gut und es besteht die Möglichkeit warme Eierspeisen zu bestellen. Am Tag kann man sich Kaffee und Tee im Frühstücksraum kochen und es steht ein Kühlschrank mit Getränken (gegen faire Bezahlung) bereit. Fragen zum Ort, zu touristischen Angeboten etc. wurden jederzeit umfassend beantwortet bzw. Vorschläge dafür unterbreitet. Wer einen individuellen Urlaub plant, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Nice stay for 3 nights

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Surprise. The staff and owner were very professional and attentive to our needs. The only improvements we can think of is the breakfast choices which are few and the timing. This is the first place I ever stayed worldwide that serves breakfast at 8:30. If you are a tourist you want to be on and about by that time. Everything else was great.

Brilliant experience!

Lovely guesthouse, fantastic manager and staff members. It serves a hearty breakfast in the morning that's included in the rate which is reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Especially good for fitness buffs as there is a wee bit of uphill climbing and a few minutes walk to the beach. Located in the heart of picturesque Camps Bay. Very safe even late at night.

Schönes Guest House mit super Aussicht

Wir haben 10 Tage in der Villa Surprise gewohnt und uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und geräumiges Zimmer mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick auf die 12 Apostel und auf das Meer. Die Managerin des Hauses, Linzi, spricht nicht nur sehr gut deutsch, sie ist auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Guest House liegt in dem wunderschönen Camps Bay und damit ca. 15 km von der Waterfront entfernt. In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle und man kann problemlos und für wenig Geld alle wichtigen Ziele in Kapstadt erreichen. Gute Restaurants sind in der Umgebung zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen.

Empfehlenswertes B&B in Camps Bay

Sehr nett aufgemachte, saubere Zimmer und ganz hilfsbereite und zuvorkommende Besitzer gepaart mit einer tollen Lage in zweiter Reihe in Camps Bay. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und geben auf jeden Fall eine klare Empfehlung. Das Beach Zimmer ist etwas kleiner als die anderen und auch der TV ist mini, (es gibt so oder so kaum Programme zum anschaun), dafür ist es super liebevoll eingerichtet und die Terasse ist total privat und groß mit Meerblick ! Punktabzug gibt es für das Frühstück, das zwar ok ist, aber für uns kein volle Punktzahl hergibt.

Nice B&B, Great Location

We had a great experience at Villa Surprise. The check-in process was easy, our room was wonderful (we stayed in the King Suite),and the breakfast was great. The only downside was the breakfast was offered a little too late, especially on mornings when we had early plans to go sightseeing.
