Our stay at this property in Carbonear was wonderful. Very comfortable for 5 women on a girls' trip. The house was very clean, well-stocked, very welcoming. There is a coffee/tea bar and snacks. Kid-friendly with toys and games available. Home base for drives to St. John's and hiking areas. Short drive to Stone Jug restaurant (we went twice, excellent). Would definitely stay here again.

Great place!

So much character to this house! Each room was decorated with unique pieces of art and crafts. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. All the rooms were comfortable and well furnished. The house was recently renovated, but the feel, the charm, was still there. Next time we base our vacation in Carbonear we will be looking to rent this home again.

Charming and comfortable home filled with local artwork. Had everything you would need, and then some. Appreciated the welcome note and gift. Would most definitely stay again. Only negatives-on a busy street, sometimes a bit loud due to traffic. But great views!!

Quaint House with Interesting hand made art

Lovely clean home, cozy and bright, this property has every gadget you could ever dream to want in a kitchen or home. This owner has thought of everything! Comfortable and centrally located within walking distance to all amenities and restaurants. Only issue we had was the house is located on the main downtown street (Water Street) and traffic is very loud though out the morning hours. We experienced lots of trucks and motorcycles. It's was hot in July and we had to have our bedroom windows open as the property didn't have air conditioning. Might have been a different experience with the windows closed. We would go back a again.

Very disappointed that the house doesn't seem that it was cleaned thoroughly after the last guests, the bedrooms looked somewhat clean, even though a used floss stick was left on the dresser in one of the rooms, the living area looked untouched after the last customers with pillows unorganized and dust under table and by the door as soon as you walk into the house. There was letter that was left for us stating that the house was not cleaned properly due to illness but as a paying customer we don't not accept this kind of service, there should be other plans put in place to make sure the house is fully ready for the next guests.

House is like staying in a art gallery. So many fun things to look at. Kitchen has everything we needed and more. Fun restaurants to walk to. Lots of history and trails in the area. Beds were comfortable. Would stay here again.

Beautiful 'round the bay' home. There are several interesting shops and restaurants nearby, the butcher next door was really unexpected. The house is very well stocked, it is close to the road but didn't find it overly loud, loved the eclectic art.

The house is lovely, and the decor is beautiful and very coastal. Views are wonderful so close to the water. Most of the house was throughly cleaned but the floors were dirty when we got there (dirtied up our socks, visible particles). Kitchen has everything you need including some condiments in the fridge. It was great having laundry on sight to wash some towels and clothing mid-stay. Not much to do in the area, a lot of closed down establishments but we were there to see family, so it was fine. As other reviewers mentioned, it is quite loud on the street. Cars, motorcycles, trucks and ATV’s speed past at all hours of the day/night. You do kind get used to it, it didn’t disturb our sleeping 4 year old and ear plugs helped me. We did notice some noises in the wall in the family room, scurrying and squeaking… possible rats… but never any indication of being IN the house. If we were to stay in Carbonear again, I would still consider renting this home again.
