We stayed here for two nights whilst we visited the city of Carcassonne. The staff were amazing, the city was beautiful and the hotel was excellent. The only reason we marked down the facilities was that our daughter would have liked the pool to have felt more child friendly and have been heated. All in all great place and I feel the pictures do not do it justice, would stay again if we return. Thank you.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay here at this beautiful hotel. Our room had a lovely view to the old city. The room was so nice with a comfortable bed and great bathroom. The bathroom is open to the bedroom (private toilet) so be aware if travelling with friends as opposed to partner.

Lovely place
Beautiful place. Terrace on the room had the best view of the bastide...wonderful! Great staff, comfortable and had everything we needed. The car park was a bit tricky to figure out, but pulled into the layby in front of the hotel, went to ask at reception and got directions to the underground parking just up the road at the square.

Amazing views.
Really good hotel in an excellent location with room balcony views of the old bridge and the amazing Cite castle. Room cleaning service could have been better and the hotel bar closes at 11pm. More a 4* than a 5* hotel.

Great hotel! We did have a little snafu when we arrived, they tried to charge us double. Luckily, we had made the reservation through Expedia and had proof of cost. I don’t know what would have happened if we hadn’t used Expedia.

This is an unsafe place to be! Ordered a ginger beer at the hotel restaurant, and unbeknown to me, and therefore without my consent, was given a drink with hard liquor in it. Very dangerous! And one member of the staff suggested that it was my fault for drinking it, because I shoud have smelled the alcohol. This line of thought is dangerous!!

First the « available parking » is a public parking close to the hotel. Then we arrived at 8:30pm and hotel told us the restaurant is fully booked (2 tables were dining only…) they told us we can order in room dining with extra costs of 20€ … We asked for iron who never came…. This hotel is overrated

I would have given the hotel a higher rating if it were not for the fact that it is an expensive 5 star hotel that did not feel like one. The service was poor, our room service took almost 2 hours and we still had to pay for the meal and the service charge. When we ordered wine it was like an inconvenience. There is no valet parking or luggage service which is odd for a 5 star hotel. It felt like a boutique hotel with limited amenities and a small staff.

Being a Hotels.com VIP member I was offered 10 euro voucher which can be used for food and drinks in the hotel. I had breakfast in the hotel but when I checked out the reception didn't allow me to use it. She said that it is only for drinks. I showed her the offer details then she said that it is only for dinner not for breakfast. This is not acceptable. There a nice gym but hardly any weight lifting equipment. For such a 5 star hotel it is disappointing.

Very nice property located by the bridge which leads you to the castle, and nicely appointed rooms, wasn’t expecting the huge tub a great value.

The hotel is in a lovely position. It's clean and comfortable. Reception staff are very helpful. Breakfast was good. The only thing which let it down was the evening meal and service - not up to a 5* hotel sadly.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Reception was not helpful or friendly. No room for our bags till check in. Room in poor condition. View was of a rooftop — not a beautiful castle and river. There was NO availability to dine in hotel. A very run down, shop worn place. Do not believe the listing.

We went to Carcassonne to visit the Cite de Carcassonne, Castle ramparts, etc. The hotel is located within walking distance which made it very convenient. Our room was very nice, spacious, and had a double tub in it which was awesome! Overall, very clean, safe and quiet. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Lovely hotel for visiting Carcassone. The building is in a perfect area for touting the castle. The staff was great.

Nice hotel, balconies from rooms weren’t private but good views. A few finishes needed a bit of a tidy up. Seemed a bit short staffed but the staff when there were lovely.

A thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish. Parking is an expensive hassle, room was much smaller than expected, and staff were dismissive. Almost every time i was in réception I overheard other guests making complaints , so I’m clearly not alone in feeling underwhelmed. I would not recommend this hotel and I wonder how they get away with calling themselves a five star establishment.

Anna was the absolute best! She helped with just about EVERYTHING I needed and went above and beyond every expectation. She is an absolute gem. Definitely worthwhile.

Service is so slow, same person running front desk is also making drinks at the bar and tending the garden. 45 minutes in a queue to check in. Drinks took 30 mins in an otherwise empty bar. Coffee machine behind the bar is nespresso. Rooms are tired, creaky stiff doors and scuffs all over the walls. A great 3 star hotel, sadly not a 5 star hotel by a long way

Excellent Offering
The hotel is in an excellent location with a lovely bar terrace area and excellent gym facilities. It is the attentiveness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff that really stands out from my stay.
