3 days on an all inclusive in cuba
The hotel is bit tired, rooms were clean, the facilities were relatively clean. Food was good, variety was same as any all inclusive. Drinks tasted a bit watery down from what we are used to in Canada. The entertainment was funny-not much a night life if you have young adults in your party. A la carte restaurant food was very good.

The room condition are generally not good. we turned out to switch the room three times due to different reasons. The locker for the first room was broken. Then we found a huge cockroach in the second room. When I was explaining the issue to the staff, they said the cockroach is normal there which made me more upset about the issue.

Clean, with good food and friendly service. The facilities are a little run down, and everything is in Italian (which is very weird, especially if you've been preparing for Spanish), but overall pretty good by Cuban resort standards. If you want to save money, stay at a casa like a sensible person. But if you're going to spend money on a mediocre Cuban resort experience (is there any other kind?), this is a good option.

We felt that the staff was very nice, and it was very clean. One toilet wasn’t working, and we went to front desk, but they never fixed it. We also felt that all the activities are meant for Italians. We felt discriminated that there were no activities for us Hispanics.

There were some really friendly staff and then some that seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The food was average, visual appeal needs to be improved. They need to make some upgrades to the facilities. The pool area and beach were great.

Not sure if it was because government owned, the service is only acceptable. They have shows almost night to keep residents entertained, however for 2 days I stayed, they have no able to provide beach towers as promised.

Staff of the Hotel is realy nice and friendly! Food is delicious, beach and Atlantic Ocean is jast fantastic! Bars suggest are various cocktails and tasty and aromatic coffees, animation programs evry evening is amazing and very-very interesting! We enjoyed our staying here and hope to visit again! Thanks for everything! 🙏

The beach is gorgeous, the staff extremely helpful and friendly- we traveled the country and found wonderful places, helpful people, always finding ways to help on the road. About the hotel complex- it just does not make any sense to go there; the price is much higher than is appropriate, the food is so bad, that we always ( after at least trying once) left for the nice private restaurants in walking distance. Stay in the casa particular and you will be fine ...

The worst place in the world. I was there with my family at 4 pm on Saturday and I left the property at 9 am on Sunday because of the horrible experience. When I arrived my room was not ready, the floor was wet, my bed sheets were dirty and they had a really bad smell, my mother’s room towels were not exchange, they belonged to the previous guest I think. There was not bread in the snack bar, either ketchup or mustard and the attendant was very useless and had a disgusting actitud. When I was doing the check out they request my hand to cut my green bracelet, I’ll never forget that visualization of the woman with the scissor, it was horrible. I’m Cuban American and I think that in that hotel exists just one guest: Italian. I lost my money but the worst think was that I couldn’t have a good time with my family as I expect in all my trips. These are just a few things that I suffered but I can tell you something, I WILL NEVER COME BACK.

It’s a small hotel but very friendly staff that does its best to please you, particularly reception staff and bar, restaurant, pool etc. The rooms are acceptable and the bed comfortable although they should provide hand towels in the toilet as well as bath towels. The food is plentiful with good selection but the soft vegetables are over cooked. Don’t expect high end here. We didn’t use the other a la cart restaurant. Although used by lots of Italians the staff is inclusive with all guests, however they should make the hotel instructions in the bedrooms available in other languages and not just in Italian. A good medium size hotel that I will return again.

The pool and beach access were perfect. The rooms were not at all as photographed. Ceiling had mold. Fiberglass shower door as cracked. Tile being held in place by caulk. A motel 6 would have been an upgrade for the condition of the rooms.

What did I like: - beach was nice - evening entertainment was a nice touch (concerts) What didn’t I like (lots): - failed to give me the room I booked and said I need to get refund if any from Expedia, even though they acknowledged it was an internal issue. As “compensation”, I was offered a late check out. - room upon entering had a thick layer of dust on floor and tables - toilets constantly stopped working and would take as much as 5 hours to be fixed (they stopped flushing) - I traveled in a group and several groups had no bath towels in their rooms - WiFi was only available in 2 areas of the property and needed to be paid for by the hour (wasn’t a big deal for me...but worth mentioning) - the food was, in my opinion awful. The meat was sometimes cold, and not prepared well. I would often resort to bread or some fruit as a meal. - I’m sorry, I cannot recommend this property in good conscience and we left after day 2 of what should have been a 4 night stay.

it is perfectly ok if you are looking for a place to lounge around in the sun and drink poorly made cocktails and eat ok food. Just keep in mind that by and large the service is dreadful, but from reading reviews of other Varadero resorts this isn't unique to this place.

I can only say that if this hotel was located outside of Cuba, it would have been shut down. Me and my family were there for three nights and I couldn't wait to get out. It's old, dirty, everything is broken. Dirty towels, clogged tub, a lot of flies inside the buffet. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE.

The beach was absolutely breathtaking!!! Most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The service for an all inclusive hotel was not so great. Food was not the best either. Overall ok experience... if it wasn’t for the beach I would have never stayed.

Resort was smaller than most which was good. Staff were very friendly in the dining area however the bar staff, cafe staff & towel attendant could all use some lessons in customer service, even a smile would be a good start. One towel attendant in particular was very dour (every day) & I would suggest she give up her job for someone who actually wants to be there. The hotel is very focussed on Italian tourists which is a shame. I was basically ignored every day on the beach by the activities co-ordinators as I wasn't Italian (not necessarily a bad thing) . If you are Looking for a Cuban experience don't go as there isnt any. All in all it was a good week in terms of relaxing as the beach is amazing.

People are mostly friendly around. Would love to go back, though only myself spoke English when I was struggling with Italian which is close to Spanish which is the language in communication. The bed mattresses are too soft, felt like previous guests are stout heavy ones.

We had a lovely time at the hotel. Our superior duplex family room was perfect for a family of 4. It was in need up updating and redecorating but in spite of that was spotlessly clean. The facilities are good and the food and bars pleasing. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

The restaurant staff was amazing, there was a waiter named gentle and a waitress named sequina( I might have her name wrong :( but they were the kindest people I’ve ever met. We were a family of 7 and after one night of waiting on us they had our drinks and everything memorized, right down to the coffee at the end. I wish I could say good things about the rest of the staff but they weren’t very eager to help at the bar. I could stand there for 10 min while they ignored me and then finally sauntered over, it was very disappointing especially since I tipped every time. The entertainment is lacking in a big way, no games in the pool, no hype about a nightly show, it was kind of pathetic. The pool often had napkins floating in it and the rooms were not cleaned well. We had tiny little ants ALL OVER in our room, in the beds and everything which didn’t seem to bother housekeeping at all.they were very sweet but not efficient . I also got locked in our bathroom because the handle was broken, twice !! Thank god I had my phone and could text for help. Also this place has no shuttle to and from the airport although it advertises it & you should do your money exchange at the airport as it’s a better rate. The place needs updating and regular maintenance but the restaurant staff as I said previously were incredible!

Dear Clg, First of all thank you for sharing your comment with us and positively assess the performance of our waiters Buffet Restaurant, let me refer to the aspects of the Hotel that were not to your liking. Bar Service: We regret that you had to wait a few minutes for a service, it is very difficult to serve all customers at the same time. Animation, Our Hotel has every day activities in the pool and beach with games of participation, acuagym, stretching, dance classes, Spanish, among others. During the night we always have a mini disco for the children, then an international show and later another show made by the animation team of the Italian Club of our Hotel. Room: We regret that you have had problems with the key on the bathroom door, unfortunately they are things can happen. Transportation: Our Hotel does not offer this service, we will check where the page appears because it is an error. However you can book your transfer with the agency Cubatur that has different offers and prices to move it to any place in Cuba or you can also take a taxi. Once again we apologize if our hotel did not meet your expectations Best regards

Hotel is small but with well organized spaces. Rooms are rather big with comfortable bed and pillows. Food is very good, well cooked and good variety. Overall treatment from personnel is excellent. They are very polite and helpful. Beach is very near to hotel and there is plenty shade and beach beds for everyone. Hotel is in excellent location near park Josone and Varadero Town. Highly recommended!!!
